Seeing as the last on was just closed here is the new one. Let's try to keep it civil folks :D

yes please, because we don't need another boring martyr to have shoved down our throats for years and years

Well I think it won't happen soon, because she ain't no Gwen Stacy. I think Marvel is trying to sell us on this relationship too hard, I think I liked her more as just a friend of Peter. I liked his "chemistry" with Michelle Gonzalez more :)

On another hand, since Aunt May got married to J Jonah Sr, I had the weird feeling that he will kick the bucket, and just to be it even more dramatic, it will be with Spidey trying to save him but failing and people (and especially AUnt May and Jameson) thinking Spidey killed him...well now that I think about it, it will be too obvious of a choice lol. But I still think he'll die at some point.

I agree. The relationship with Carlie doesn't seem to be doing much other than it's just another perk in what appears to be a blossoming in Peter's life. Something's gonna go wrong at some point, the ol' Parker luck will see to that.

Remember this image that from the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man #655 that got released awhile back?

Hmm...I wonder what could possibly happen to make Peter have flashbacks about his failure to stop the Burglar and feeling responsible for the death of Uncle Ben? Perhaps something bad happens to a particular father of a long standing character who is also married to another long standing character who was flat-out compared to being just like Uncle Ben before? :woot:

Considering how Mary Jane asked Peter if he's going to tell Carlie the truth about him being Spider-Man and Peter says that he's not going to because he wants Carlie to love him as "plain 'ol Pete," you know this is going to be a recipe for some "Parker Luck," considering how it's Peter not telling the woman he's dating that he's Spider-Man that usually winds up causing big problems for him later on. Especially if my hunch is correct about a certain senior citizen getting killed or critical hospitalized in the current "Revenge of the Spider-Slayers" story to the point where, not only Peter gets reminded of Uncle Ben, but it changes his attitude towards criminals--like maybe, to paraphrase a line from Batman Begins his philosophy becomes: "I'm not going to kill them, but I don't have to save them, either."

Actually, I think this is supposed to be an interior page from the issue (at least from what I heard) and that this is the official cover:

Still a great visual, though.

:yay: haha that and their relationship is too recent for her death to have any real impact, but that's just my opinion.

I get why people don't particularly care about Gwen... she hasn't been alive for 37 years... so people have no feelings towards her... I still look at her as Peter's tragic love that was never meant to be... but I won't rip into fans for blasting her... it's all opinion in any event.

Nah she's been around plenty of time, she's just an awful character that nobody likes.

Like when Kyle Rayner's girlfriend Alex was around for all of four issues, that totally had an impact, because Alex was a pretty good and interesting character and people were like WHOA **** WHAT.

But absolutely nobody anywhere cares about Carly so they could pretty much kill her off with no ****s given.

It's like how the Hawks got killed off for like the third time in the past couple years last week, and people's collective reaction was basically, "... Meh, they were pretty annoying anyway."

Eh, kill off any love interest of Peter's. They don't matter anymore anyway.
