Brought what on myself? I ****ing love Spider-Man. And I'm actually looking foward to see how Bachalo handles him.

Let's see how much you love him when the fanboys come rolling in. They'll suck the life out of anyone and anything. You were warned.

Seriously, god help you.

Dude. I'm a fanboy.

It has begun.

It's not the Spider-Man discussion that bothers me at all, and again, it's not hate, it's a complete and utter disregard for anything Spider-Man. I plain and simple don't find him interesting. That's not hate, it's not giving a **** about him.

But seriously, keep the Spider-Man fanboys away from here, I beg you. Imagine DACMAN, but 12 of them. They're coming.:csad:

That's it?

<--I am glad this thread exists here...I mainly lurk, but read a lot of your arguements, observations, and comments here. The majority of the posters posting in the Marvel forums have some good stuff to say. The Spidey forum is lacking a lot....Maybe this proves Darthsphere's point, but I love Spiderman, and am interested to see all of your takes on whats going down in ASM.

I'm mostly just being an ass, and by mostly, I mean I am.

It's actually pretty cool here. As long as we can keep the Conquistadors at bay.

welcome slinger.

I agree, I enjoy Bachalo's work, but I really don't think his hyper detailed work would work for Spidey, his skyscrapers alone would be too distracting Imo.

The one thing he could do well is Spidey fighting i think. He could get the style and kinetics spot on.

I'm going to buy on Amazing Spider-Man comic a month and badger PJ into writing extensive plot summaries of the other two issues, with pictures (either drawn by him or from the comic). :o

No. This will not happen.

Darthphere needs to trim his fingernails. :o

I'm looking forward to Bachalo's take on Spider-Man. Jimenez (I'm assuming it's Phil Jimenez) isn't ideal for Spider-Man, as the "Swing Shift" one-shot proved to me, but he's not bad either. Please, dear God, let the final artist by John Romita, Jr.

It is Phil. And I'm thinking the third artist is NcNiven. That preview picture from a while back looked a lot like his work.

McNiven? Wow, how long do you think that'll last before delays force one of his "fill-ins" to become the new regular penciler? McNiven really ought to just be saved for mini-series and covers.

I kind of hope there isn't a third regular penciler, now that I think about it. It'd be cool to see different artists taking on Spider-Man once every three weeks.

McNiven did work on "4" so it's not like a deadline is new to him or anything. And the delays on CW were because they changed the story and took out Thor, everyone knows that.:o

I like McNiven's Spider-Man a lot. And he might be the last of the three, so he's got a good amount of lead time.

That and wasn't he really sick, too?

Lead time only gets you so far on an ongoing. Eventually the schedule will catch up to him and he'll either get a fill-in (which I wouldn't mind) or be replaced (which I also wouldn't mind) or delay the book (which I would absolutely mind). With Steve Wacker editing, however, I have confidence it'll probably be one of the first two. The guy did manage to get 52 out on time for like a third of a year before leaving DC.

Yeah, but you're fogetting that this approach to ASM is more like what Hellboy does, in that it's like a series of miniseries instead of a full out ongoing. That way, McNiven may only do a 4-6 issue stint.
