Dr Kafka's accent was really bad imo

I have to admit that when he first started talking I honestly believed he would stop a second later and just say "nah, I'm only pulling your leg" or something like that. Then I heard him say his name was Dr. Kafka and realised we'd be stuck with that accent as long as he was on screen. lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again, with Gwen's arc and fate done well (damn near perfect apparently), and all the action and beautiful web-slinging I've seen so far, I just really don't see how there's any possible way I don't love this movie. Maybe people who've seen it can come in and tell me to temper my expectations (which I probably need), but it just seems I'm going to get everything I've wanted.

Btw, overcrowding in a Spidey film is the exact opposite of a problem for me, so no worries there on my end. And as for a weak plot, the only 'plot' I really wanted in this one was Peter&Gwen, so again, fine by me if that's all we got

This is why Josh Wilding's claim that TASM2 is like Batman and Robin is absolute horse ****. There's is no way in the universe that elements as good as what is in TASM2 could amount to the rubbish from B&R. No possible way.

By the way I find it really freakin awesome that Peter listens to Kid Cudi in his headphones :p

I really don't like when they lead us on the trailers.

It's fine to fool us, but to straight bait in switch and change scenes entirely is bull.

Or maybe they did it on purpose to make it look like they spoiled a lot when in fact, they didn't, or they might have changed a few things based on the reactions to the trailers, who knows really, it's the kind of thing you can't really understand unless you're a filmmaker yourself.

The f**k? Someone actually compare the Movie to Batman & Robin?

I loved how Electro teleported into sockets and just the general way he swooshed about

Loved When he

Killed that guy in Menkens office by starting inside him then forming behind him

I heard someone say that the beginning is badly edited. Is this true?

Didn't seem that way to me.

I liked the opening in the plane and the introduction to Spidey.

Yeah it seemed such a stereotypically bad attempt at an accent that it made you think 'that's not real is it'

My pet peeve is they kept showing the end of the movie in most of the trailers.

Yeah, but it's CBM which really speaks for itself.

Yeah, couldn't believe too.His review is on CBM. He gave it a 2 out of 5 and called it the B&R of the spider-man franchise, terrible dialogue, cringeworthy slapstick humour and just awful.

Oh, the Rhino stuff is another thing I was slightly disappointed by. Though it didn't ruin anything for me.

In interviews, they kept saying how Aleksei was modifying the Rhino suit himself. Which was a cool idea, since he seemed to be a Rhino fan, judging by his boxer. So I assumed he'd steal the suit, and simply put on personal touches like the horn. In the end though, it was already a Rhino suit in the lab.

Yeah. I now know what a moron he is (imo) and won't be factoring his "opinion" in anything ever. Anyway, he's not a professional critic or anything.

The humour was about 70/30 good to bad imo.

One thing that is odd is I felt this movie didn't feel like a sequel to ASM but more of a sequel to the Raimi trilogy, totally and visually that is.

The suit change, the increased humour and more chirpy Peter Parker made this feel dis-jointed as a continuation from the first.

I didn't feel like Garfield was playing the Peter Parker from ASM1 but a new Peter Parker, perhaps a more matured Peter Parker.

__

The final scene with rhino was imo the most comic booky scene in any CBM. It felt lifted right out of the comics what with his "I AM RHINO AND I WILL DESTROY YOU" attitude, dialogue and the news report

that seems a last minute replacement (it was the symbiote chamber) and Aleiski was supoused to built it on his own, even has the red star and the plutonium on him, and that could´ve been solved by Fiers just saying "we already have the first candidate, he stole one of the older projects and modified it"

Regarding Venom

It seems to me they are going the Ultimate route of the Cancer or in this case healing suit.

Do you guys think it will involve the spiders? They frequently mentioned the spider Venom and healing

I don't think I have a problem with this. The first time I saw the SDCC footage, it already felt like a new film. Heck, the new suit reveal even made you raise an eyebrow and is basically a testament to a complete tone change.

I feel they knew what TASM was, and wanted to fix, fine-tune, or just overall change whatever they needed to for the sequel to be a good Spider-Man movie. That's obviously their goal.

And I thought I somehow missed that chamber. I wanted to get a better look.

they´ll probably will do that, we isolated the venom and since we couldn´t use it internally in the patient we developed a bio-suit capable of adapting to the user´s DNA to cure him from any decease, that woul´ve been a great Post-credit scene Peter going back to Roosevelt and trying to see all his father´s work, since Aunt May old Peter that he went really early took the train and came back late

About the tone change.

It felt similar to the first film's but these was the main problem, Max Dillon was too goofy and Dr Kafka's accent was too. It didn't fit with the world.

Other than that, all the characterisations, score, action was great.

Haven't seen it yet, but to #2...

He's the Gentleman. From the Sinister Six novel trilogy, he forms the Sinister Six to get Spider-Man and is a real bad dude. Responsible for killing Peter's parents and what he does is go after the children when they grow up.
