Just watched the clip from YouTube and wow. Emotional and intense. Crazy. And is it just me, or was anyone else really digging Goblin? I've never really had a problem with his new look. And in that scene I think he looks great and sounded great with some of his noises. Brutal. I dig it big time.

On Rotten Tomatoes it says it has 154,000 user reviews? How can this be? Cap 2 has a little more but it has been out for like 3 weeks!

Of course it was intentional. It was so blatantly a hand and with the close up and everything. I loved it and it was a stand out part of a great film in my opinion.

The pic doesn't quite do it justice. Just to clarify that the scene shows a close up of the web-line end unfurling like a fist into an outstretched hand. Like Joshider says it is very blatantly a hand and meant to look like one. Though in my case I really couldn't stand it and thought it and the hammy Goblin turn by Dehaan really took away from the drama of the scene.

I saw it online. The fight with Goblin was a lot longer than that.
