Despite the differences, I still like the film nonetheless. Dissapointed that the Goblin fight and Times square fight were shortened. Last 10 minutes hit me right in the feels.:csad: Some of the editing was choppy and too quick. Some scenes were reshot and put in different parts than when I saw them. Score was great except the Electro score, that was meh. This film felt a lot like the Spectacular Spiderman tv series.:woot: Did anyone feel the same? I still have my ticket booked for wednesday.

I ain't gonna lie Teekay ive been looking forward to your thoughts as you have seen two different versions and in a way im not surprised by what you wrote. That rough copy seems like it had more structure. Cheers for your thoughts.

I've been asking for this ever since Spider-Man 2 came out. Either Rhino or Shocker. So glad I'll get that in this movie.

I still picture a movie opening with Spidey complety frustating Shocker's attempt at bank robbery. Now THAT I'd love to see, and played for laughs. I haven't seem TASM 2 yet (here in Brazil I'll also have to wait till May 1st), but, from what I'm hearing, Rhino's role seems just like that and I'd be totally ok with it. I hear some people complaining about Giamitti being to corny, but that's how I picture Rhino. I really wouldn't want to se a "realistic" and "developed" Rhino.

Just remembered something guys. Harry's assistant, was that supposed to be [BLACKOUT]Felicia Hardy[/BLACKOUT] or were they just naming her that for fun?

Honestly, I wasn't a fan at how the "Goblin" was used in this film...

I mean the persona appears for one short sequence and is pretty much defeated in such a easy way. Even Venom from "SM3" was more of a challenge for the character, and even had more screen time I think as well.

And wow, this film was definitely promoted wrong, imho. I mean the whole "enemies unite" thing really should have been saved for the actual sinister six film and not this one.

And I just don't understand on why Peter didn't just simply...
give his blood to Harry. He could have avoided so much trouble if he had just taken the chance.

Just back from my second viewing and I enjoyed the movie even more. I also think I was alittle too critical of the original score which wasn't as bad as I had thought. Wife loved it too. She thought the chemistry between the two leads was incredible.

Just saw it online - kind of ashamed of myself, lol.

Anyway, I'm actually surprised by two things:

1) I was dreading Kafka the whole time, so when he finally showed up, he didn't actually seem THAT bad to me.

2) How quick it felt.

Smh. Yeah that needs to be removed. People worked really hard for that film so to see it in such a state isn't right. I paid for my tickets from NEXT Friday. I almost succumbed and then I decided against it. I hope it gets removed soon.

I gathered
only Peter Parker can become Spider-Man after the spider bite because of the added infusion of his father's DNA. Peter wasn't sure about what would happen to Harry, and he was proven right. Harry mutated further.

Not to mention the last time (other than himself) that he saw someone's genetics get tampered with using his fathers research they turned into an 8 foot tall lizard that terrorized the entire city.

Pretty meh movie. nice suit, some good effects, some good humor (other parts, really bad). But the story and the villains were pretty lame. Some moments were good, some other I just couldn't stand. I'll give it a 6.5/10. Sony really? is that the quality you'll give to your following movies? If you do, then return the rights to Marvel or please give Spiderman foes and Spidey besides his moves some good story and some THREATS for the next movies.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I thought the formula + his disease, was the reason for him turning into the Goblin?

Too bad most of Marvel's films range from garbage to average.

^^ Cap 2 was pretty decent, Iron man 1 was very good, Avengers was very good also. I can't say the same of the rest. But I don't want to see Spidey in this level. He's one of my fav. characters maybe Marvel can do some good things for him if Sony won't change its quality level.

so, i just watched TASM before seeing TASM2 yesterday, and man that chemistry between Andrew and Emma is sooooo soooo good.

but....
that moment, when you hold your girl, begging her to stay with you, but you know she's dead and there's nothing you can do about it. Heart-breaking scene :( . Andrew's acting was total perfection in that scene.

Peter didn't give Harry his blood because it could've killed him or made him into Goblin, remember Peter didn't know that their were Spider's venom in the special projects.

You never read an average comic book before?

As if that has any bearing on the quality of the filmmaking.

Even so, Thor films a terrible compared to amazing stories like Godbomb and Godbutcher.

IM2 is awful, Cap 1 average as they come, Incredible Hulk was pedestrian. (lol Thor 1-2)

Cap 2, The Avengers, and maybe IM3 are their only good to great movies. I generally enjoy the superhero genre, and most of the movies. But that doesn't mask how I view them as standalone films.

Too bad most of Marvel's films range from garbage to average.

There's no Marvel movie that dipped into the rotten region in RT, and they have IM and TA both in the 90s, and TWS has 89%. Financially, MCU movies are doing very well, with both IM3 and TA grossing over 1 billion.

I liked how they took the usual "Antagonist first, relationship second" theme of comic book movies and flipped it.

Could you elaborate on that for us here?

You know how comic book movies usually focus on the good vs evil aspect of the movie? Well in this film (and this is something most aren't particularly happy about) they really focus more on the relationships in the movie, mainly with Gwen and Peter but also with; Peter and Harry, Peter and Aunt May, his parents, Electro and Spider man, Harry and his Norman(they only have a brief scene together but you can tell that it's what drives Harry) etc.
