He said the movie makes him sick and tired of Spider-Man. He hopes that the movie fails so badly that sony stops making more movies and that there aren't anymore Spider-Man movies, not because he wants the rights to go back to Marvel. Wow.
 
But the actual spiderman in this movie was so great wasn't he? And so was Peter Parker and his relationships with the people he loved? I don't get how the movie could send you into a twisted, unstoppable spiral of depression and hate and make you hate spiderman. Poor guy!

I just hope he doesn't fall into a tank of electrically charged eels and start looking for Andrew Garfield. :wow:

He said he really hates Andrew Garfield in this movie as Peter Parker.
 
Not Andrew!! :( He won't remember his name for sure and then we'll get the electro in real life thing happening and then we'll have opinions in the daily star calling him a smurf and it'll be this huge cycle because then someone watching real life electro will get sad and depressed because of the quality of Electro IRL and then fall into a tank of eels and well we know how it goes from there...

His criticisms were fair but he was too overdramatic about it. I wouldn't just suddenly hate a character because of one movie.

He was being hyperbolic for sure but I tend to tune that stuff out and listen to the reasoning behind it. If his points are expressed well (and they were) I let that stuff go. If the whole review is nothing but ranting like the first minute then I'd say he was just being over-dramatic. Besides, I guess if someone is a huge Spider-man fan like this guy and he feels he's seen two straight sub-par Spider-man movies with more on the horizon I can see the reason for the hyperbolic depression.
 
He'll get over it. I'm definitely not looking forward to what RedLetterMedia has to say about TASM2.
 
yeah, despite moviebob giving his thoughts this time i believ he was too overdramatic about it much like how trilbee was. face it, neither of the two will love this series and bionicslime is also one of those guys. seriously, despite trilbee and moviebob giving us some analysis on the movie it doesn't change the fact that most of their experience was unfair to the series before it's release and i mean starting with the first movie. heck, trilbee even believed the whole black male mj thing even though it was obviously a joke.

speaking of which, i heard kafka's scene was short. how ling was he in and how weird was he? speaking of which did anybody not like how slott killed off kafka? i don't mind him killing her off but she killed her off so randomly and without any buildup nor tension. this has been a long time spiderman cast member and she got killed off in a more disrespectful and meaningless way.

also, can anybody tell me how peter in this movie is more likable. trilbee, his girlfriend, and sam have all stated that he's an unlikable character.

neither am i. i like those guys but this series has been getting enough backpains already.

i also don't want people to get the wrong idea on marc webb since most of the things weren't his fault and there is clear evidence of trhat. i mean alot of people know about the deleted scenes, pre vizualizations, and the productions and i can tell you they are gonna hate on him regardless because of some "code". it's some thing that critics and other reviewers and people who want to be writers and critics themselves have and it's really unfair. trust me i have run into alot of ignorant people in my life and if webb makes a movie that doesn't involve spiderman i ahte to see him get alot of hate for it
 
I said it forever ago, when they completely cut out Mary Jane, that was clear signs that this movie was not going to be good.
 
The director always gets the blame for a movie's failures, but he will also take most of the credit when a film is successful. I think the RedLetterMedia guys are good with those funny Mr. Plinkett reviews, but IDK. They praised Iron Man 3 and I found that shocking.

MJ only had a few scenes since shailene had a busy schedule with another movie. though if there were enough scenes then sony needs to get their heads straight. i don't know if it's the audiance or sony's fault but most of the blame goes to son while the audiance get alot of flack for ruining the movie with their constant complaints prerelease

but with string evidence regardless just makes you kinda ignorant now doesn't it. seriously, marc webb and crew deserve enough hate already. just let them be guys. at least they all tried. you all know that they did.

iron man 3 had mixed reviews. most was fun popcorn action and RDJ completely stole the roles while others were dissapointed that it was some comedy movie instead of a dark thriller and tragic movie with a villain so dissapointing

How did you reach that conclusion though? Obviously most would say you were right in the end, but how did the MJ thing actually get you to think that?
 
I think Marc Webb is literally doing the best he can with the script he is handed and the instructions from the studio.

The MJ thing wasn't really a sign that the film was doing poorly. She had like 5-10 minutes of screen time.

Would have been funny to see her and gwen "fighting" over peter like they did in the comic books though
