I didn't know they had done a recent comic (I have the ones DC did many years ago)...I really thought he was a forgotten book.

Although I will always love Doc and his crew....Benson, with his group of men, women, and people of non European ancestry as his friends and helpers did tend to humanize him more.

It was a DC prestige format mini-series just called 'Justice, Inc' with art by, if I remember correctly, Kyle Baker. Came out shortly after the DC 'Shadow' ongoing series.

Christian Bale owned the role. He is the mother****ing Batman.

I think Keaton gets tons of credit, deservingly, for doing what he did AFTER Adam West.

But, overall.....I think nostaglia is something that people cling to with him. I just think Bale played the character, and embodied the character perfectly. We didn't just get him fighting, but we had him doing detective work, we had him chillin with Gordon, we had doing things that he does in the comics and I think that's what overall makes him King. The way he emboided the different aspects of the character, Bruce/Batman/ Playboy....all of it. Worked together perfectly, for me.

But, obviously....looking at my Name....it's pretty obvious I'd say that.

I don't open many threads, only if I have some news about Superman Returns that I know hasn't been posted. You also may notice I pretty much stay in the Superman area of the boards, especially Superman Returns. So I know almost all of the posters that frequent this area of the boards and I have seen the good, bad, and the ugly.

I know C. Lee opened a similar thread and it was closed because things had gotten out of hand. I would like to give it another shot, and if I am out of line then the MODS are free to close it. I am betting that we can come in here and vent and hash out arguments by discussing them open and honestly. How can this area of the boards improve and how can we do it together? This isn't a thread to start arguments but talk about improving as posters.

I believe if we use this thread to our advantage then it will serve a purpose and to get a better understanding of who we are as posters and how we can improve so we can at least be civil to each other when disscussing the differing opions.
