I dont recall anyone here being told "your bitter because we didn't invite you". As I recall, any membership to this GAM deal was pretty open. Hey, I got a membership, so I doubt that any group that lets me be a member have high standards.

As for the comment "but don't you see an inheirant problem with a group made to promote civility on these boards calling themselves "Gods Among Men" (which sounds a bit arrogant)", sheesh, try not to sound to full of yourself. It's a tounge in cheek reference, get a grip man.

Most people who get upset about GAM are the ones who were not invited to join.

It can only be saved when posters are willing to save it. The same with the board, and sadly there just aren't enough...too many people are taking this MOVIE personally.

I personally have no beef with GAM, in fact, I didn't even know what it was until yesterday...but don't you see an inheirant problem with a group made to promote civility on these boards calling themselves "Gods Among Men" (which sounds a bit arrogant) and inviting certain people to join then telling others "You're just bitter because we didn't invite you"...it seems to contradict your mission statement.



Notice how the one constantly accused of being the "problem" on this board (myself) actually tried to make this thread work? Same with the other civility thread.

I agree that some people will take this as tongue in cheek humour but there are a few of them who are now taking it as a way of life and chastising others on the boards, when that is what you mods are here for. Even worse, I have seen them even gang up on tothers, myself included. Saying that it's not too hard to defend yourself against certain intellects.

If something needs sorting out, then press the report post button, I do and it is always dealt with silently and effectively without the need for hoo-haa which results in pages of this rubbish.
