BvS The Barry Allen/Flash Casting Thread

I've been for including the television universe into the movie universe for some time. I don't think that it will happen, but I would love to see it since Arrow's been so good. This would immediately introduce the Green Arrow, Flash, Deathstroke, Black Canary, Red Arrow, Merlin, etc. More than likely, we won't see movie versions of most of these characters anyway (Flash and maybe Deathstroke excluded).

To me, it's not just about expanding the universe, it's about including performance that I really enjoy.

Well, I really like the guy who plays Barry on Arrow, so I'd also support using him in the films as well. It almost certainly won't happen, but I'd be cool with it if it did.

Flash isn't fighting the same uphill battle as Aquaman in terms of adapting him to live action, and even less so now that he's in a film with more known superheroes.
Could David Gallagher be possible for the role, then?

Faora's super-speed fighting in the battle of Smallville showed just a hint of what the Flash would be like on screen.
Also agree the Flash is easier to bring to screen - but damn, a well made Aquaman film would be epic!

It's ok. But I think Flash's costume is kinda like Spidey's, it's fine as it is and would probably translate to live action extremely well.

Just put the traditional mask on it with yellow lenses or shades not necessarily a visor and I'm good.

Other than it being CGI it was pretty much the costume from the comics…other than the white gloves.

How about you just do the Flash suit. The Flash suit can be translated. Any suit can be translated on the big screen.

Wolverine's suit can't be translated? Watch the deleted ending to The Wolverine. Batman's grey suit can't be? Wait for Batfleck. I mean there is no excuse why Flash can't look like Flash due to how simple it is.

Have him have red spandex. No one with Flash's job could afford body armor. Have him have spandex red suit that comes out of the ring.

Yeah you could, but I would at least update it a little bit. You don't have to go full on science an explain every little nook and cranny but a man running THAT fast in spandex would burn up. So Star Labs can give Barry a little help.
