Ironically the real Samuel L. Jackson's favorite character is The Flash, or was as a child anyway, one of his favorites...he used to collect as a kid he said.

There is only one me.

I could've seen Matthew Fox as a GREAT Neal Adams' style Batman back in the day. He'd have been ideal.

His face looked good under the cowl in Speed Racer.

Ryan Gosling is the best choice, despite how unlikely it is.

He'd be superb, but I think he may be "overweight" for what is a relatively light role.

I really want him to play The Joker.

This is outstanding!!!
What about if the suit is made by CGI to look smth similar to this? and to be more viable?
Thoughts?

I would prefer David Gallagher over any new actor :)
I respect you dude, you seem to be pretty cool and some of your casting suggestions are spot on, but you have to understand how weird of a choice David Gallagher would be.

Gallagher is almost thirty now, and still his only claim to fame is 7th Heaven when he was a kid. I honestly don't think he'll break out acting wise if he hasn't already. Who knows though... maybe he'll do some amazing indie movie and blow everyone away. but until then, I'm gonna have to say NO to Gallagher.

I don't believe in his ability to carry a solo Flash movie, and you have to keep that solo movie possibility in mind when casting Flash.

I think the main problem with Gallagher is his past. 7th Heaven when brought up today is met with a LOT of hostility. For good reason, it was a pretty awful show. But you don't want to cast an actor for this role who has a past like that.

If Gallagher were cast today, people would be like "that kid from that horrible show? Pass..."

Flash isn't a beloved character to the general public. Most of his fans are comic fans, he doesn't have many casual fans. When there's already an uphill battle trying to get the general audience to like the character, it's a pretty bad idea to cast an actor that people mainly remember as a child star on a ****** show.

I'm not knocking Gallagher as an actor, i liked him as the pothead in Super 8, but I don't think it'd be a good move from a business standpoint. If people found out Gallagher is going to be Flash, the response would be almost unanimously "meh" or met with extreme hostility.

For Flash, I think they need to go with a likable and somewhat recognizable actor who is on the cusp of superstardom.

Matthew Fox would be a great choice for Hank Pym.

He already has experience with beating women.

I'm suggesting Gallagher because of how I envision it will turn out, how his looks and on-screen presence could match the hero. The "business standpoint" is a whole another question. To some degree, I can see that it isn't compatible with my suggestion(s). But what if Gallagher is a "Keaton"? He was met with a lot of negativity too, until the first pic were released.
What about my other choice Joseph Mazzello?

The difference with the Green Lantern Suit is that the suit was not good. Could be with tights of course. but the fact is that they need to make it not looking silly on screen. I'm good with a real costume also.

He could be like a Keaton I guess. But Keaton was headlining major movies before he was cast as Batman. He was met with negativity because he was mainly known for headlining comedy movies.

Gallagher is known for being a supporting player on 7th Heaven when he was a child. If he headlined some comedy movies, I think that there would be better reception to him. Instead, he's just known for 7th Heaven.

As far as Mazzello goes, it's equally random of a choice, but Mazzello is unknown enough for people to not react negatively. I only know Mazzello from Jurassic Park and Simon Birch, so I don't really have an opinion on his acting as an adult, but solely based on his appearance, he doesn't give me a Flash vibe at all.

I'm not saying that these guys would make a bad Barry Allen, i have no idea how they would do in the role. But yeah I think Gallagher will be held down by his past until he does a respectable film that gets people to stop thinking about 7th Heaven. As far as Mazzello goes, his past isn't brought down by a 10 year long **** series, so he's still pretty much unknown. There would be no reception to his casting. It'd basically be like Gustin getting cast as Flash, nobody knew who he was or what to expect.

They've already cast an unknown as Barry Allen on Arrow. For a movie, I think they should get a slightly more recognizable name. Aaron Paul is pretty much my favorite actor in that age range right now, I'd love to see how he would handle a character like Barry. Paul is such an amazing actor that I think he could pull off Barry's persona pretty well. I don't think Jesse Pinkman is the only character Paul can play. i believe in the guy. I think he's destined to become one of the great actors of our time :o

Can you imagine the response to the announcement of Paul as Barry Allen? It'd be met with unanimous praise. That would reallly, really work in favor of the Flash character. He's not a popular character, so casting a popular actor with a built in fanbase would be a very smart move from a business standpoint. I know a bunch of people are only going to see "Need for Speed" because Aaron Paul is the main character. I'm sure those same people would see Flash if it had Aaron Paul in it..I really think he's the most solid and realistic choice for Flash. Ryan Gosling and Aaron Paul would be my preferences for Barry, but I don't think Gosling as Flash is realistic, he's too big for that now. Paul is on the cusp of superstardom, he'll still be cheap enough to hire for a couple movies, and I think he'd be willing to do something like this.

Even though it's too late now, I wonder how Joseph Gordon Levitt would have been as Flash.
When I first saw Inception, I tried to peg the main characters as JL characters. Here's what I came up with...(this is pre TDKR casting was announced)
Superman: Tom Hardy
Batman: Cillian Murphy
Robin: Ellen Page
Alfred: Michael Caine
Wonder Woman: Marion Cotillard
Flash: Joseph Gordon Levitt
Aquaman: Leonardo DiCaprio
Martian Manhunter: Ken Watanabe

The fact that Rian Johnson (my choice for Flash director) and JGL are currently my favorite artistic pairing movie-wise (Brick and Looper), makes the John Blake thing sting even more. JGL would've been too perfect as Barry Allen in a Rian Johnson directed Flash movie.

TBH i thought Cillian Murphy did the best Batman audition aside from Bale's. I would've been interested in seeing how BB would've turned out with Murphy as Batman. I really think he would've done a good job. The dude is a great actor.

JGL and Tom Hardy have great chemistry.

They would have been an entertaining Barry and Hal.

Maybe if Nolan had done Justice League instead.

Agreed. Surprisingly, I can actually see that. They do have very good chemistry on screen together so I can easily see them being Barry and Hal.
