Haha I'm not so hard to please. ;) My wants are simple. Lol. And yeah I saw him in Gran Torino too, he had a small part...played Clint's neighbor's daughter's boyfriend (that's a mouthful!) in the early part of the film...Clint chewed him out in one scene and called him a *****. Lol. But I could maybe see him as Flash. I think he's a pretty decent actor for the most part and has lots of potential.... I could also see him as Hal Jordan too incidentally.

Haha, that was him? Okay yeah, I remember him in that movie. That scene was funny. Not enough there to sell me on the idea of him as Roland though. Maybe Eddie Dean, heh.

Really? I think Roland, for most of the story, is supposed to look significantly order. He ages a lot between Gunslinger and Drawing if the Three...

I've always imagined him looking like a weary 45-50. He is old, over a thousand years, but obviously he doesn't look it.

Here's my take of Kwanten in the costume:

Pretty epic to me.
Holy boiled newpapers, I just can't believe my eyes. :wow:
This is the most awesome manip I will possibly see in my life. There's a godly element to the character as well as a sense that he consist of raw cosmic Power.
Now I have one more actor I wanna see in the role and its Ryan Kwanten. If he gets hired for Flash, then he must "pull a Chris Evans". In other words, he can't continue to be a whiney hillbilly (True Blood) but has to become a serious crime scene investigator.

Jensen Ackles is perfect for Hal Jordan
Is he??? What happened to Aaron Paul?

Jensen Ackles is perfect for Mal Gordon in the 2015 Asylum film, Green Lamp.

I'd like Aaron Paul for Flash, and if they decide to go with a lesser name for Hal, (based on how big the first movie flopped, this wouldn't surprise me) I'd go with Jensen Ackles or Karl Urban.

Yeah if he was in his late 40's I think he'd be perfect (Provided he can act). I mostly thought he'd be suited because he's a dead ringer for Clint in "the Man with no name" trilogy, who Roland is sort of based on. Eddie and Jake even comment on it a few times throughout the series.

I used to think Hugh Jackman would be good too because he also has that "Man with no name" quality to him.

Here you go pal!!! :D (manip by jaymes e06)

Is that meant to be Aaron Paul? It looks like his face morphed into Aaron Eckhart.

Yeah, nothing against the manip, it's a good effort, but that costume is designed for Gustin, who's very differently shaped than Paul.

I don't think Aaron Paul has the physique to pull of Flash.

After watching the Guardians trailer I once again feel rather sharply just how far behind the curve DC is. Not only is there no Flash film in active development, but if there was I would have little confidence it would be executed with the same wit and character.

While the Flash has the potential to be a game changer in terms of action, the characters of the Flash comics are the real spectacle.

That scene where the Guardians are being lined up by the Novas--imagine that scene, but with the Rogues. If you're a Flash fan, that should really illustrate my point for you.

Captain Boomerang walks into the line up and the cops say:

"Who call him that?"
"Mostly himself. "

David Wenham would totally rule as Captain Boomerang.

In regards to the rogues I think they need to find a way to somewhat plausibly explain their powers.

I personally think it'd be cool if the first Flash movie dealt with the Rogues being a collection of bank robbers and low level criminals who are all given an invitation to a warehouse where a dark figure gives them advanced technology in order to carry out hi tech crimes.

At the end of the movie that figure will be revealed as Eobard Thawne/ Zoom and we learn that the technology the rogues are using is in fact from the future.

The second movie could deal with Flash vs Thawne

:funny:

Was thinking the same thing. If you play Flash you don't have to worry about physique too much.

I'd say around 6 foot and a lean muscular build. They should look at Olympic sprinters for inspiration.

I'd be happy with Kwanton or Caflin.

I'd say a mix between sprinter and distance would be ideal. Pure sprinter would be too big.

Claflin would be great for Barry imo.

Agreed.

Granted he played more of a Guy Gardner type in Catching Fire, but given that I never pegged the actor as being that way, I'd say it's just a testament to his acting ability, not just playing the same guy in every movie.

And like you said, a lot of natural charisma and screen presence.

 I am excite.

Matthew Goode might be a good contender for GL/Hal Jordan. He was one of Snyder's runner-ups for Superman.

And his age is at the halfway point between Affleck and Cavill's. And he's 6'2.

And he's hooked up with Lois Lane

I keep forgetting about Caflin and Goode but either would be a superb choice, IMO.
