The BATSUIT Thread

No it wasn’t LOL BvS neck was basically like Batman Begins made in 2003 and used for filming in 2004.

The most mobile neck was still TDK / TDKR suit.

In JL, 2 1/2 years after BvS production, somehow they reverted all the way back to the Burton era neck where it’s totally rigid and not movable at all.

You can see it in his horrible stiff performance. He literally can’t turn his head at all in the justice league mask.
You can clearly see in his fight scene that he has full mobility with his neck and shoulders.

Stiched mask reminds me of Pfeiffer's Catwoman. It also seems to be the first cowl in a while that doesn't have a sculpted frowning expression.

See to me this is the exact opposite of the Ben Affleck Batman reveal, particularly in the black and white, with the sad depressed look.

I was just like whatever. It was just a lazy literal translation of TDK returns suit, complete with the bulbous fat bat symbol, only given real world texture ... and removal of the stupid diapers.

This actually looks inspired. And unique. Thus more interesting as an adaptation.

In combination with a more inspired casting of an actor in the suit, and the guy who to be frank is a way better actor than Ben Affleck.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I had no problems with Affleck's casting when I first heard it, but I groaned when I saw the TDKR Batsuit. It feels liberating for me to finally see a Batsuit that'll be used for future articles on The Batman. :funny:

Basically, I like the suit, what we see of it at least. Don't like the cowl.
I do think the ears will help the skeptics to a certain degree. As well as seeing a full body shot with all the suit's elements on display together.

Well I'm reserving judgement until we see a final version, even then it might come off differently when we see it in action. Honestly, I still think the Avengers Cap suit got a lot of undeserved hate. Did it have its flaws? Yes, but I liked it.

This is the main suit, they wouldn't release test footage for his prototype.

I hate armoured Batman, but I could live with it if they cowl looked good. This seems like a swing and a miss.

I don’t get why the fiercely psychotic Snyder extremists, and Ben Affleck stans feel so jilted right now?

To the point that they keep slandering Robert Pattinson or Matt Reeves?

Like dude Batman versus Superman is underrated, yes but it wasn’t TDK trilogy, it wasn’t the MCU and it isn’t the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Ben Affleck was surprisingly decent in Batman versus Superman.

But was atrocious otherwise. That doesn’t make him the “one true Batman”.

Yes, the coloring on his costume, as well as the design was most faithful to a literal translation.

Yes, he had an amazing action sequence that is the only thing people reference in regards to Ben Affleck’s take on the character, and it wasn’t even him LOL ... that as well doesn’t make him the best Batman on screen ever.

Neither does his wig he wore asBruce Wayne LOL

Or his ripped 300 style shredded CGI’ed muscles ...

But seriously, why the salt and the put downs for Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves? Before we’ve seen anything no less?

Ben Affleck began to disassociate from the character the second bad reviews of Batman versus Superman started to come in. And it only perpetuated there forward, and all he did was lie and string along the audience until he could finally commit to leaving publicly.

But why are you guys mad tho?

Justice League came out in November 2017. Much like Snyder himself, you guys simply can’t move on LOL a long while ago

Let it go ...

If you’re a fan of the character first, what we have to look forward to is probably the best thing for us. And the general audience.
