I'll have to see it more clearly before I really judge it, but I'm not sure I like it, what we've seen feels like a strange mix of Arkham Knight and Gotham by Gaslight imo.

Aparo is more iconic, emulated by other’s through the ‘80s... hell, Miller didn’t even draw Year One. Mazzucchelli did. Yes, he drew TDKR, but his Batman was rarely emulated by other artists... let alone have the amount of work to garner that title.

And, 2000s should be given to Scott McDaniel or Sean Phillips.

I suspect that Bat-cowl is not connected to Bat-suit at all (again, like Daredevil suit) so that Batman can turn his neck. If some exposed part of his neck is visible, then it will look really bad.

I think it was inevitable either way, as the cowl looks just like Netflix’s DD.

Wow, I was about to go to bed and thought "Ah, what the hell I'll check SHH before I do."

Now I don't think I'll be able to sleep.

First things first: overall I like the look of it. I think the emblem is a nice touch. I definitely get Netflix Daredevil vibes, but I absolutely loved that suit so I'm a-ok with that. The neck guard will take some getting used to, though.

I still want to know how long the ears are and if the cape will ever rest over the shoulders. It looks like it's folded back in the clip, but I don't know if it's permanently that way like this:

Personally I think the red filter is really striking and evokes a stronger, more visceral tone than what a B&W reveal would've. It's cool for a teaser. And a black-and-white reveal after the Batfleck one would've been infuriating lol.

I just noticed that the nose of the cowl doesn’t completely cover Pattinson’s actual nose.

I'll definitely wait for a full reveal, but right now:

Emblem is bad ass (regardless of the story behind it).
I can dig the armored look. Arkham Knight inspiration is obvious.
I'm not feeling the collar.
The mask is looking hideous. Plain, stitched leather? You've made an effort to design an armored look, but then wrap his head - what should be the most protected - in hobbled together leather that lacks any expression or actual design elements? Really not liking it so far.

I agree. Practically doesn’t make sense he’d wear armor but then not protect his head with something more substantial.

Daredevil head with armored Batsuit.

The cowl looks a bit crap tbf. Jarring and off compared to the rest of the suit. Thought there is a missing overlaying head armor piece to cover that awfully strange looking cowl.

the symbol is the best part of the costume. Didn’t want the armored look again and was hoping for dark grey with shades of dark blue thrown here and there. The armored look is good but doesn’t feel too fresh.

Pattinson himself looks pretty lean and thin. Not too built and the suit doesn’t seem that threatening or dangerous or intimidating remotely.

I really hope they are going for a Batman who is a decent enough combatant but struggles majorly when there are several thugs around. Instead he plays a much more stealthy Batman who is best at being a detective first and is relatively decent at kicking butt but significantly struggles against multiple opponents or gets majorly banged up along the way against skilled enemy combatants. It would make for a far more realistic and interesting contrast from prior iterations.
