Small detail but the materials of his chest piece aren't rubber or metal like most other armored batsuits, but covered in a thin layer of fabric. You can kind make out the threads and texture in this shot at 100%.

I get more of a carbon fiber impression from it, would make more sense.

It’s some kind of non-reflective coating or covering with a pattern in it, while the armor is held together by what looks like tough, military-grade fabric securing the pieces together while allowing flexibility over the armor - and at least for the shoulder pads, what looks like integrated padding underneath.

The articulation is great, and I think they’re trying to walk the thin line between making the articulation and utilitarian purpose of the design clear while still going for a somewhat stylish look - though I think they’re leaning more towards artistically grotesque in some areas.

This edit looks interesting, but I do like both versions of the mask.

If there's any part of the suit I feel they may have modified after this camera test, is the nose:

When he's looking down, it looks pointy, so it was probably what they were meaning for it to look
But when he looks up, it losess the pointy nature, probably meaning they needed to make a very small adjustment:

However, everything else... the leather and stitches of the cowl, the collar, the armor,the mouth opening etc.. will probably remain exactly the same. Reeves showed this camera test for a reason, it would be pointless if it wasn't the actual suit.

Initial thoughts:

- Logo looks cool, much better than the fat logo from Affleck's suit

- I like the plate like system of the chest piece & shoulders, it has an Arkham Knight type vibe to it

- I'm not a big fan of the mask/cowl, it reminds me a lot of Adam West's cowl because of the stitching lines & the non-pointed nose

- The thing that will probably make or break the cowl for me is the ears



Overall, I'm on the fence still, need to see more of it.

I think the ears are pushed more to the back of the head rather than up front, which is why we can’t see **** when Rob comes into focus. I’m pretty sure he has short ears though. Like really short. I would prefer the 1939 long ear look tbh, but it’s all about execution for me.

Bill Ramey is saying on Facebook that the suit is black and grey and the ears are pretty long.
I know he's an insufferable prick but Ash Thorp confirmed his Batmobile report and he was right about the suit looking homemade and the fact that we'd see if after BoP released... so, we'll see.

It's impossible to say for certain given how blurry it is, but what little you can make out from the beginning of the test footage does suggest longer ears.

There's something about the angle of the cowl opening that makes me think they'll use long ears and maybe even 1939 ears. It just seems kinda specific.

I prefer long ears myself but it's just very easy to go a bit too long

I haven't gotten into this because we don't know how the ears will look, but I really don't like the 1939 ears at all.

Also, if the chestplate is fabric, that just makes it worse. I can at least understand the concept of him wearing a modernistic suit of armor, but having these blocky fabric things jutting out makes no sense to me. The bat symbol will be that much more jarring, and it won't mesh with the shoulders if they're still metal.

After a few days of looking at it, the nose/forehead don’t sit right with me. Batman’s brow should always be furrowed, to give him a serious/menacing look. It’s too expressionless at this point

They’ve been trying to force a scowl with the cowl for too long. As far as I’m concerned, I welcome a blank expression.

What would the point of that be? Those shapes aren't going to convince anyone it's organic so why bother hiding that they're metal? Not saying you're wrong, it's just another confusing choice if so.
