Besides, Batflek's body count pales in comparison to MCU Captain America so let's not act like Batflek is some butcher for killing a handful of mercenaries.

Right, it's definitely the body count that makes Battfleck a bastardisation of the character. It isn't the complete disregard of his most interesting character flaw for no reason other than because Snyder wanted to prove how much of a big boi adult he was and how he could make big boi adult movies.

Um maybe they simply just don’t like how it looks? Do they have to explain why they don’t like it? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. People are allowed to think it’s just ugly without explaining why. Sometimes we can’t articulate why we don’t like something. Sometimes we just don’t like it.

Neither is The Joker. Or Mr. Freeze. Or Bane. Or.....almost anyone of any significance Batman comes up against on a regular basis.

Sigh. At least they tried something a bit different. As far as bulky/robotic rigid armour goes, I’d take this over the TDK bodysuit any day.

As for the cowl... I love everything about the IDEA if it and how they made it, it’s just the execution of the idea that’s lacking. The shaping needs to be more refined and sculptural - and there’s no reason it couldn’t have been while still using this leather construction they’ve gone with.

The lenses are done the way I’ve always wanted to see them done... but again, it’s just the shaping that’s off.

Oh, well. There’s always room for improvement in the next movie.

I'll reserve full judgement until I see it on Pattinson in an official context but so far I like the idea of it. It's tactical but not too busy like the Nolan suit. Reminds me of the Zero Year suit. They are definitely going for a homemade look.

I’m feeling this as a more successful take on the TDK armor, with a more hand crafted vibe that I dig. Also the seeing a bit of Arkham Origins, which is kinda cool. Kinda bummed that it’s getting such stark, polarized reactions. It’s not what I was hoping for, but hey, I’ll roll with it.

Matt Reeves has managed to (for the most part) make a tactical style bat-suit I've always wanted to see. There are small details that I've drawn or imagined that have ended up in this suit as if Reeves was in my head. The suit is a little rough around the edges, but I love that.
I can't wait to see what the full suit looks like on film.

I see it as the opposite. I see it as a more unsuccessful take on TDK armor. I would take that suit over this any day, and I'm not a fan of that suit.

Great point about small details. The Nolan suit was just too refined given what it was. This seems to have a lot of details and things and idk seems to have really cool design elements. More of a fan the more I look at it. I think it will grow on people.
