The BATSUIT Thread

The execution is off in some places, but I think it’s kinda cool that we finally have a Captain America-esque suit. Some of us have been asking for one for quite some time now.

it makes more sense real world than black rubber, probably.
there's such thing as bullet-proof cloth developed by the military now.

Any y'all have been directed to this comparison? It makes so much sense! They are paying homage to Batman's training in the DNA of his suit even more than BB did.

Definitely see the samurai influences.

Nice.

Batman Begins had the ninja forearm blades carry over and that was about it for ninja / Japanese influence and the rest was all classic Batman.

I'm cool with Batman having a ninja background like in Begins, although it's nothing fundamental to the character for me, but I don't have any interest in him looking like a samurai.

Will they replace batarangs or maybe primarily his throwing weapons with just a batarang or two on his utility belt as extra?

He has a gigantic belt, I'd guess he has many batarangs and all types of gadgets there. He also doesn't seem to be shy about the whole bat motif.

I don't see any lenses there. And gigapixel did a really bad job. Just look at the darts, completely wrong. Not saying he won't have it, but it's not on this picture.

That photo was heavily manipulated.

apart from his training and mindset?

I mean, Nolan's Batman had this sort of training without looking like this. I care more about him not dressing like a samurai (among other Batman things that are important to me) than I do about him having or not having ninja training.

So what? This Batman wears his influences on his sleeves (literally). Matt is trying new things. It's not any more radical than a joker who wears make up.

Yeah, see, I don't like that. It doesn't suit the mystique I like Batman to have, and it interferes with the purity of his bat persona.

Matt can try new things, but that doesn't mean everyone will like them.

Lol purity.

As for your damn mystique, just drape his body with the cape. Problem solved.

Which interpretation of batman are you referring to, when you say 'batman'. Like, what version of batman do you want to see?
The Batman that has shark repellent?
The Batman that has a metal, sculpted chest plate with nike trainers?
The Batman with nipples?
The Batman that has gauntlets from his training?
The Batman that has sponge padding, sculpted like muscles?

Or The Batman drawn to look like he is in skin tight material?
Drawn to look like he is in a military style armour rivalling Tony Stark?

which one dude...

The Burton one, primarily. And I can't help you if you don't think any of the movie versions have mystique, if that's what you're saying, but past ones worked for me in that way and in general, and this doesn't.

Nolan version literally wore a puzzle piece as a suit. He still had mystique.

It's all about framing and lighting boy.

As for Burton, lol, the batsuits were clunky messes on set. There are horror stories about Burton's suits. People could barely move in it. The 'mystique' came from movie magic.

When or where did I say they didn't??? If you you watch the movie, you see this new interpretation will have 'mystique' don't you worry about that.. my point, however, is that all suits, behind the scenes, on set, pre editing all look a mess.
Burton's was thick, bubble marks, scuffed, matted...
As others have said, it's all down to movie magic.
