To be honest, the suit would be salvageable.
The lightning and angle makes it look even worst, but overall if you consider it might be the characters first batsuit...its decent enough, especially considering its the design for Gotham.

I was expecting way worse when you look at what kind of garbage Gotham usually comes up with in terms of design.
And of course they go with TDK and make it even worse(im kind of surprised it was even possible to make the TDK suit look good in comparsion), who is really surprised.

The Emblem is nice and the idea makes sense, but the cowl is so incredible horrible that it alone ruins the look.
The rest isnt all that better either.

Gotham ends how it started...looking bad. XD

Here's the only Batman concept art from Justice League: Mortal that's not terrible. Personally I have no idea why they chose to forgo it over what they ended up picking. The image quality makes it difficult to see, but it looks similar to Alex Ross' design. Depending on what fabrics were used I could get behind something like this.

Still looks too ‘muscle suit’ to me. Batman just doesn’t strike me as a person who’d deliberately sculpt an anatomically correct musculature into his armour. It implies a narcissistic streak I really don’t think he has.

If you want to make a suit look basic and clunky and unperfected and prototypey - a Mk I suit basically - then the Villalobos stuff upthread is the obvious route to take.

How could they get the final Joker look so right and this so wrong?

Still looks too ‘muscle suit’ to me. Batman just doesn’t strike me as a person who’d deliberately sculpt an anatomically correct musculature into his armour. It implies a narcissistic streak I really don’t think he has.

Right , but..in a live action adaptation ,you have to put something in that area, otherwise it looks flat. You can't have this:

That's not what I saw at all. I saw leaked pics of the final Joker and he looked like the aforementioned.

Also the actor looks like he’s 10 years old while the villains he will fight are on their 20s and older. Straight up bizarre. I’ve seen some of the episodes and while it can be entertaining, the bat suit they designed makes me wonder who approved this and why? Just like the completely stupid way Bane looks. Sorry for getting off topic but I reallu hope Reeves Batman movie features some awesome costumes like the snyder films

I don’t follow the show at all but if you google Gotham Joker you will see this actor in about half a dozen different looks, including what you mention. So yeah I have no frigging idea what the deal is with this bonkers show but this is what they settled on, thankfully.

That’s why I hate prequel stories, generally speaking. The urge to have “winks and nods” to the future is too much for people behind them it seems. Just becomes a fan wank fest.

It's not my ideal, either. I only brought it up because the other Mortal concepts had been discussed, and frankly it's a far superior design to what's been done on Gotham and Titans.

If I had my druthers Reeves' Batman would basically look like Cap 2's stealth costume but with less padding. I'm sick to death of black rubber and sculpted muscles. Snyder's design was a step in the right direction (excessive padding aside), but it's high time the suit's material is fabric-based.
