I don't mind it. Honestly the most important part is the cape. Have it envelop the body, TAS style, then half the work's already done.

The artist says that they are "quick detach shoulder harnesses" for the cape.

So I tweaked that imaged, tried making his ears longer, darkened the suit, and lightened the cape straps.

The rappelling harness is a cool replacement for the trunks. Breaks up the wall of gray the same way the trunks would, but serves a practical purpose.

I like the overall idea but that cowl really bothers me. I feel like the transition between the cowl and the body part of the suit needs to be more subtle.

I just think the separation between the cowl and the rest of the suit is a bit too obvious. In other batsuits it's more seamless.

Yeah, the fan art above looks sorta like Dan Mora's design, which is something I'd love to see.

I'm frankly bored by tactical and utilitarian designs. I hope Reeves tries to push slightly more grotesque, dark appearance for Batman. He should look a bit scary, imo. Not like Solid Snake with black cape. One of the areas where I'd prefer them to step away from Nolan as well.

Not saying he should look exactly like on Kelley Jones illustrations, but I would love if they took inspiration from something like this:
