The BATSUIT Thread

So the strong rumor is that the suit will be black again. Do you guys think this will be the first time we see a more cloth-based suit, or maybe a suit moving away from the more rubbery or foam latex look?

I'm not believing any rumors about the suit. If it was black, I wouldn't be surprised given the history of the batsuit. But I'm rooting for gray and black.

What’s the source though?

The strong rumour back in October/November last year was that the suit would be grey and blue. Don't believe everything you hear, son.

I really wouldn’t mind another all black Batsuit.
I’d actually be really excited to see it happen.:funny:
I’d be happy with Grey and blue or grey and black too but all black is the best for live action Batman IMO

A weird thing I’ve been wondering is if they’re gonna do a voice modulator for his voice in the suit.

In BVS it was perfect imo. In Justice League, it sounded very sound mixed, like it didn’t fit with the scene or location when he spoke. I dunno how to explain it, other than using the Bane voice in TDKR.

this looks excellent. Both how dark the grey is ... suit texture ... and the symbol looks great even with the modern yellow bat outline. That looks much better as a bronze or burnt dark orange.

I hope not. It'd be a giant waste of Pattinson's talents.

I honestly don’t see a single thing about a black suit. Not sure where he’s getting that from.

I got it from these forums, among others. I believe based on something Jett said. Hence why I said "rumor". Personally I like it black, but also don't mind black and grey. I think blue and grey might end up looking silly on the big screen, unless it's just a lighting effect.

But in this era of tech its what Batman would use.

But it's so boring and takes all the fun/effort out of the actor's performance.

Why must rationality and realism always lay waste to the fantastical and badass when it comes to Batman on film?

It's like when those pics of Leto's stupid gangbanger Joker came out. You couldn't move for the amount of people trying to delude themselves and justify it by saying that the Joker probably would have grills/implants after being socked in the face by Batman for so many years. Yeah that might be a logical claim, but it still sure as hell sucked from an aesthetic pov.

All Black would be a mistake. I get wanted to remind people more about Batman 89 and The Nolan series and less about BVS but still...

Never believe what he says. He loves and lives for the attention.

Dude is washed.

I really love the aesthetic of the Burton suits so I wouldn't really be mad, but I can't help but feel going all black would be a regression. Still riding that blue/grey hope train. A yellow oval emblem would be a bonus.

A regression? It’s a color?

I just would rather they try something new that is visually distinct as Reeves' cinematic Batman as opposed to it looking like Burton or Nolan. For my taste it would be kind of a bummer just to go back after we had finally crossed that black/grey threshold. But again, if it looks good, cool. Haha.

You would rather ...

A batsuit being all black isn’t a regression. There’s nothing we are progressing to besides quality functionality as well as an awesome aesthetic for a specific movie’s vision.

For my money the all black definitely looked better on screen than the black / grey.

lmao Here we go again...
But to be fair, there are 500 extras on the Cardington set right now. So I'd be extra vigilant, because if someone is gonna leak something, it's probably gonna be around these dates.
