The BATSUIT Thread

Looks good but too techy. I hope it’s armored but more lithe, thinner allowing him to be more agile and acrobatic. I think the few things lacking in the prior movies were the lack of agility and acrobatic skills as seen in the comics. I love the cool flips, jumps and other moves he does in fights and like when he’s dodging gunfire. The Justice League cartoon was awesome in depicting Batman’s agility. The movies haven’t been very good in this aspect. I really hope he can move at such ferocious speeds that it’s almost superhuman.

Begins had the right set up in the warehouse before blowing it to **** with crappy horrible cinematography of the actual fight.

I’m hoping that’s the reason Pattinson wasn’t asked to swole up. A gymnast physique Batman that doesn’t do parkour would be a huge missed opportunity cinematically.

I agree. It’s a really, really odd choice here. Something 100% home-made and organic, or as you suggested, fabric covered as an encompassing aesthetic feels like it would absolutely rule. Mashing up Count Dracula and Robocop is just so bizarre. That pic of Adam West’s Head on the Arkham suit body really sums it up. Holding the faith here, but it’s very, very strange.

do you see "robotic"? I just see armored.

I wanted the blue a lot, but I think I'm getting over it pretty quickly.

Someday though....

I love the way Patton’s eyes look in the cowl and it makes me really glad that he doesn’t have the lenses.
Lenses are trash. Eyes are way more menacing. It allows you to connect, and not only that but shadows from the forehead over the eyes at times blacking them out look way more intimidating IMO

Yup. I get why a lot of fans want to see the lenses done in live action and recognize that we've reached a point in filmmaking already to where it can be done well enough... but I just think the natural eyes approach works better usually.

Agreed. I also think back to that scene at the end of The Dark Knight Rises where Batman is piloting the Bat with the bomb out over the ocean and everything suddenly goes quiet and we get that lingering closeup of Bale's face just before *Boom*. That wouldn't have worked at all with white lenses. His eyes said so much.

People just literally want to see BTAS or the comic page translated into reality ... verbatim.

The closest we’ve seen that is BvS. Not bad. Good. Not great. If being honest, kind of homogeneous and bland.

This new Matt Reeve’s suit is truly a unique artistic interpretation and adaptation for The Batman is making me H, A, R, D ... :hehe:

All I need is some long Kane esque ears for the first time on screen. And no better opportunity than now with a young 33/34 year old early career Batman in the opening of a new trilogy.

We already have an amazing adaptation of the 39 chest logo.

They’re the window to the soul.

Bruce’s tortured soul.

Only an idiot would want to cover that ...

Keaton is one of the least built, most average sized dudes to wear the cape and cowl. The Everyman esque Batman.

But for my money still might be the most intimidating and frightening.

Why? His eyes and the intensity, the crazy, and the strength of determination they portrayed.

Awaiting the full reveal, the more i see the B21 Mask, the more i think the likeness with the 66 one are a bit exagerated

The stitching is a nice little nod to the Adam West cowl, but that's basically where the similarity stops.

The main three (possibly four) things that are "similar" to the West cowl are the more exposed jawline (although the angle and amount is definitely different in the Pattinson cowl, so this is pretty debatable), the stitching, exposed nose and maybe the ears depending on what they look like. Other than that, there's not many similarities
