Still hope to see a close up of Pattinson in the cowl but from a distance it looks pretty good. That’s definitely an improved look over the stunt man photos.



The Batmobile is very interesting looking as well. Looks like a mix between those stadium trophy racing trucks and a baja car. Based on the look of the costume, the motorcycle and the car I’m definitely getting a much more grounded Nolan feel from this film. I’d even venture to say possibly even more grounded potentially. The suit, car and motorcycle are far less fantasy compared to all others before them. Definitely interested in this and look forward to seeing more.

Love the cowl. The ears look great. I like the torso of the batsuit but the arms are pretty blech.

Is that stubble on Pattinson? Fits the gritty take very well if so.

He looks pretty clean shaven to me. It's probably just the light.

Looks okay but we can't really see much.

Yeah, it harks back to the days of Batman Begins when the studio took a similarly restrained approach to the reveal, opting to tease us with poorly lit shots at first. The tactic effectively conditions our brains to embrace the costume in its eventual full glory after having grown accustomed to the less-flattering images we've already seen.

I'm kinda frustrated Reeves didn't release 4K images to let us see the suit in full detail.

It seems the suit is exactly the same as it was in the stunt suit, except the pants have knee pads and the cowl is better.

I will concede that Pattinson's stance in the first picture looks a little stiff. It looks less like a dramatic still and more like a candid shot. Almost like he didn't expect a photo to be taken.

Still love the suit though. And I suppose these photos suggest that we'll be getting more set photos here soon. March 16th?

I feel they probably set up one of those cameras that just takes like a thousand pics in a single instant, Rob was standing there maybe getting into position or something, and Matt just chose one of the pictures that it took.

One thing that bothers me in the photo is Pattinson's body language/stance, his stance looks uncomfortable, the facial expression is making looks dumbfounded, and overall he looks almost.. scared.

That's kinda what I was getting at. This seems like a very candid shot. It doesn't look like it was framed to be particularly dramatic. Which is a stark contrast to the shot from the back, with Batman's cape billowing. That one sets a mood and comes across as very dynamic. The first one says, "Let's take a picture real quick."

This is all nitpicky though.

I love it! It's not traditionally comic accurate but it is to my liking very much. The Arkham suits are among my favorite batsuits and so then obvious inspiration is great

It almost seems like it was taken while he was moving to pose to take a picture from another angle.

yea, that pic with the cape billowing looks to be concept art to me.

the other 2 pics look like battinson is really in there though.

I think it's just the stylized lighting, I don't think it's necessarily photoshopped.

That batmobile looks like the one from the first Batman comicbook I ever read. I love it.

Looks like the cape is mid-calf length to me.

The next Superman costume designer better take note.
