Honestly my big issue right now is the gauntlets. If that digital rendering is accurate, then the gauntlets are kind of the only part I’m not feeling. I’m growing on the cowl, I’ve been on board with the collar since we got our first look, I’m fine with pants on an early-days Batman and (though I’m still not sold on the bat-emblem being made from a gun) the chest area looks good.

What we’ve seen of the gauntlets just look like an eyesore to me.

I really dont like the cowl. The ears just look wierd as does the nose part.

So far, like the Batmobile, dislike the suit.

I like the suit, am ok with the car.

but i do get a feeling that it might end up similar how i feel about the netflix daredevil costumes - that they are just sorta meh/ok, but i am able look past it because i enjoy the story so much.

Is it, though? I mean, there are definitely elements that resemble handles, but there is nothing about it that is conclusively gun related.

I’ve been thinking about it and I think the BVS suit is way better than this. I’m cool with the suit though and I think it’ll work with the aesthetic Reeves is going for. From what we’ve heard, the BVS suit wouldn’t really look right in this movie.

Agree 100%. Though it does share some similarities that could be compared to gun parts it is definitely not a direct take off gun component or a gun handle and hammer as some have said. That manip that was shared a while back with a picture of a photoshopped handgun showing that half the bat symbol was the handle and hammer was quite humorous to be honest. Why you may ask? because it did not correctly/accurately represent actual fit and function of how a firearm would work. However, If the symbol is a broken down gun possibly re-forged or parts of it or sections cut and welded to make the Bat symbol I will fully respect that. I even love that idea to be honest. But saying it is confirmed or even that it is “obvious” at this point is still a bit of a stretch considering it is still based off speculation and no real given proof other than “it kind of looks like a gun” and a poor manip of a gun trying to explain why it looks like a gun.

No offense to anyone or the person that created that manip or supports this idea. But as someone that has a very extensive background and knowledge of/with firearms I’ll wait to see it confirmed. Again, I do love the idea though, I even hope it is true. But in my opinion not enough evidence to confirm it yet.

I honestly think they are batarangs. Look on the large wing portion where the paint is rubbed off, looks like a cutting edge. The money clips could be where the cables attach to. I think they are either folded or it's 2 halves that come together.

I don’t think they actually believe that. I just think that’s what they’re telling themselves to justify the fact that they hate it. Same with the “It’s just the stuntman’s suit!” Excuse. However, I doubt this will be his only suit throughout the trilogy and I hope to GOD, his next one is more traditionally accurate. But his weird little hybrid Tick/Dracula/Arkham Knight/Daredevil suit is growing on me lol still looks better than TDK/TDKRises suits.... ew.

I agree that this is likely what we're getting for (at least) a significant portion of this movie. With that said, this is a character who constantly makes changes to his suits, even within the course of one movie. So although writing this suit off as 'just a prototype' sounds like a fanciful excuse, it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest that we may see more than one look for Batman.

One of the prominent leakers mentioned a new suit after a pivotal scene, while talking about the use of some locations, filming, and iirc the batmobile. So whether that individual has been pretty lucky with their fake leaks/guesses or are leaking actual info, that's something to keep in mind. I guess time will tell.

Whether there are big or small changes to the suit I can imagine changes will happen in the sequels regardless of people love it or hate it. Gotta keep the toy guys happy.

That's reddit bull****. The verified leakers haven't said anything about a new suit. I've been following these leaks upclose and even talked to them.

As of now, there are 2 verified leakers:

-The one that showed Robert Pattinson's chair from set. He didn't even see the suit as he was only involved in a Bruce Wayne scene.
-The one that showed the "No More Lies" suit which didn't mention any new suit.

I’ll be very surprised if he updates the suit in this movie. A sequel, of course. There’s too much work put into this suit from a designing standpoint. Too much thought into every aspect of it, for them to toss it away in the first act or even the first half. No chance in hell as far as I’m concerned. People are in denial. Live with it. It’s the new suit.
