Mixed receptions?
I thought we were all liking it.
I thought we were all liking it.
this leak came just on the heels of the official reveal which received a mixed reception at best..
Back when the suit was first revealed in February.Mixed receptions?

To be fair, that was entirely on the production for playing coy about getting a good look at the suit on Rob while we had those sketchy-looking pics of the stunt man, out in broad daylight, floating around.Back when the suit was first revealed in February.
I recall the initial reaction being mixed.
Sounds like fanboy wish fulfillment and not much else.
*super dramatic chef kiss*
Look at it! Look at the glare in his eyes!
Major Dracula vibes, and it also just feels "noir."![]()
This shot sold me immediately.
I liked it already from what we'd seen (Maybe not the set photos but...they're set photos) but this shot right here gave me goosebumps. Lots of great things going on with the colors and the way it catches light, but the amount of room given to Pattinson's eyes is a HUGE plus for me. Already from the few good shots of his face in costume we have, I can tell most of his acting is coming from the eyes (as it should). Just from his expression here I'm getting a good sense of trepidation. I'm assuming this is the first time he's worked alongside the GCPD (because his name is on the card) and I can tell he feels uneasy in the situation. Compare this shot to him going against Catwoman. His eyes tell completely different stories. I can't wait to see the range of emotion this cowl allows Rob.
Also, anyone getting Dracula vibes from him? Something about the cowl and the collar makes him seem like a vampire and I'm all in for that. Very creepy and ominous. Probably my favorite Bat-suit, personally. The thing glitters on screen.
I want to believe....

Ditto. It just sounds like "more of the same" and strips away the unique elements that make Reeves' Batman unique.I honestly would hate it if that second suit description turns out to be true. It strips away almost everything I like about the current suit (especially the collar, which imo is the most brilliant addition to the design).![]()

The evolution of the suit design is going to be interesting to follow. It's clearly evoking certain supernatural elements, but the general aesthetic is still that of a homemade variety. Also, anyone getting Dracula vibes from him? This thread is going to be gold for the next 10 years. The evolution of the suit design is going to be interesting to follow. It's clearly evoking certain supernatural elements, but the general aesthetic is still that of a homemade variety.
So where does the suit lean towards in the future when Bruce has refined the suit to where it completely needs to be? Does he double down on the tech and tactility? Or conceal it to go for a more organic exterior and complete the monstrous angle?
I'll think he mix both. The evolution of the suit design is going to be interesting to follow. It's clearly evoking certain supernatural elements, but the general aesthetic is still that of a homemade variety.

while i'm skeptical of the source, there are a couple things that lead me to think it could be credible. for one, we've already seen footage in the trailer that suggests an explosion could damage the suit, andwe also see a direct shotgun(?) blast into his chest. second, the bit about a new suit featuring a logo that's essentially the same as the one in the suit but with ears is a detail i don't see someone shooting in the dark would guess. that exact logo has recently been released, and that, to me, is the strongest evidence it's legit.I'm not opposed to Batman upgrading suits in the same film. Far be it for me to complain about getting two suits instead of one. I just don't give much credence to that leak. I seriously doubt that this guy would have had photos shown to him (much less have access to them), and this leak came just on the heels of the official reveal which received a mixed reception at best.

while possible, i don't think it makes sense that this suit is the second suit. they've only shot 25% of the film, and so much of what we've seen is clearly early on in the film -- for example, the first of riddler's victims (gordon's dialogue implies they haven't seen this before) and what seems like the first encounter with catwoman. unless his suit is replaced within the first 30 minutes of the film, which i find extremely unlikely within the expected pacing of the film, i don't think that this is his second suit in the film.He only gets shot in the chest via a pistol and if we're going with my theory that the suit we've seen is actually the upgrade, it'd make sense in that context as the second suit sounds like it's not as protective. So it could be that his first suit gets severely damaged, then he creates the second suit with more armor and protection so that it doesn't immediately become unusable after one encounter. That way, he can tank the explosion and the gunshot with only minor repairs being required
