Not sure what more could be said about this amazing show!
When Season 1 came out, I watched the entire season in one afternoon. Needless to say, I did the exact same thing for Season 2! So glad they dived into the lives of these amazing characters outside the restaurant a bit more this time. Having been in this industry myself for a number of years now, they nail so much regarding the stresses and passions it takes to be in the hospitality industry.
Episode 6...holy yish! But Episode 7 is by far my favorite. Seeing Richie coming full circle was amazing and I must've watched that episode 3 times now. And how did I not see that he was racing to Pequod's for the deep dish the first time?!
I was fortunate enough to take a cross country trip with my boys last year and we stopped in Chicago (my 1st time there) and were told Pequod's was THE BEST deep dish to get. Have to say, I found it hard to dispute!

Well, the Bear 2x6 was completely depressing. Worst Christmas dinner ever.![]()
Kane is correct. The next episode is wonderful and the needed pick me up after Seven Fishes. If it makes you feel any better the next episode is the most feel good episode of the series.

Richie singing in the car is one of the first images that pop into my head when I think of season 2.ROMEO SAVE ME, THEY'RE TRYING TO TELL ME HOW TO FEEL
THIS LOVE IS DIFFICULT, BUT IT'S RE-EAL
(best episode I don't care)

Keep watching. His season 2 arc is one of the best on the show and he really takes to heart Chef Terry's lesson about it never being too late to start over. He is a diamond in the rough with a real heart of gold.Yes, 2x7 was a less heartbreaking episode even though I'm not a fan of Ritchie. He's much too abrasive for me to like.![]()
Just finished and yeah, he really stepped up.Ritchie was my least favorite character until 2x7 and he turned into one of my favorite characters after. Really extraordinary episode that completely transformed his entire character.

I wouldn't say that Ritchie's character transformed entirely, but moreso our perception of him. Ritchie's strengths and virtues were always there for us to see, but they were obscured by the dark space and setbacks he had experienced. A lot of what made him a problematic character in season 1 was the result of a misplaced sense of love and loyalty for Michael. He was trying to preserve how Michael did everything as almost a memorial to him. Storer did a great job of foreshadowing his potential throughout the first season. For instance, when he confided to Sydney about the caulking in the car and how much he hated that he had let the Berzattos down. Or what a good, loving father he was.Just finished and yeah, he really stepped up.![]()
