He is great, excellent and amazing director, who is also very very underrated by critics.

As for me, I love Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Casino, Gangs of NY and The Aviator.

How is that even possible? I swear... Aviator, Gangs of New York, Raging Bull, Good Fellas, Casino, Mean Streets... I mean Taxi Driver I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, at least it's not mine...

He'll win the lifetime achivement award before he'll win an oscar,which is harder to get.Oscar voters pick the film that they REALLY liked,That's why more universal movies are picked over Scorsese's,Box Office $$ has alot to do with it as well. That's one of the reasons why Forest Gump,Titanic,Return Of The King have won,and not something like Goodfellas or Taxi Driver. See the differance?
