On the subject on if a Betty romance is creepy, maybe. But, Stan did those kinds of things. If I remember correctly (not sure if I am) but back in X-Men issue 2, it seemd like Professor X had a thing for Jean...who was like 16

Okay so you want a 30 year old actress to play Mary Jane yet you also want a 30 year old actress to play Aunt May?!!

For the record MJ and Aunt May AREN'T the same age, dude.


I do like the idea of Zooey playing Betty but I couldn't help but feel she's being cast because of her previous history with Marc Webb.


And you know how I felt about Emma Stone being cast because of how the studio favoured her as an actress.

It's about how an actor or actress looks, not how old they are. I suggested people like Catherine Zeta Jones or Saffron Burrows for Aunt May. They are in their late 30s and look older than someone like Zooey, who, while 30, could still look a lot younger. CZJ doesn't look even in her 20s. She has had children and has this maternal look to her but is still attractive. Zooey still looks like a girl whereas both CZJ and Burrows look like grown women. Harrison Ford was only about 5 or so years younger than Sean Connery in Indiana Jones, and yet Connery was playing his father. They weren't playing the same age. A 30-something Aunt May and someone like Zooey as MJ wouldn't have to be the same age.

I never really liked Betty as a character, but the fact that Raimi casted Elizabeth Banks to play her, made her dawn enjoyable! And Banks is hot too!

Zooey would be a great choice as well imo, I liked her in Yes Man for example!

I'm less concerned with Night Raven's need for a young Aunt May than I am with why everyone seems to think that a woman needs to be young to be attractive. I, for one, would **** Rosemary Harris in a heartbeat. People need to broaden their horizons if they wouldn't tap that.

If people are concerned with a relationship/age issue, Peter and Flash are classmates and same age. Flash and Betty have been in a relationship for a long time in the books and while they have split they are together again as of the most recent issue of ASM in #648.
