i have a date tonight but I'm debating whether I should flake out.
 
i'm gonna stay home... I have to work tomorrow and a party to crash afterwards....

Anybody see the "I am Legend" production? S**t was all over SoHo. They closed off Washington Square park for about a week, too. Pretty rad.

yeah. my friends live i think a block from the shoot.
 
there's like 5 films being shot around the city right now.... 4 in Manhattan... 1 in Brooklyn...

it's good.
 
The last film I saw being shot I think was "life or something like it".
 
there's a wave of movie and tv production companies migrating east simply because they realize how resourceful it is to film in and around NYC as opposed to lots and sets in LA.

It's great for the city... especially since some big studios are planning on creating actual studios in Queens... ala Paramount or Universal.

I went there a few weeks ago and even with thair discount they were still too expencive. Although they might have a larger discount now (if still open).

Last big film I saw being shot in the city was I believe, Batman Forever.
Which was amazing to see at the age of 8 or 9.
