It was windy, rainy,and ugly today. The rest of the week was sort of spring-like. Must be cold in philly.

I hate winter in Chicago, I'm always scared the 10 foot long icicles are going to impale me while I'm walking down the sidewalks.

They plan on converting Astroland into some grand thrilling theme park that'll compete with Six Flags. Right now, it's so-so.

Winter in NY is pretty but damned uncomfortable.
I hate it.

Can't wait till April.

it's not what it was a hundred years ago... considering it was the first real theme park in america..

but with gentrification.... it'll improve in the next few years... they still need to clean the ocean for it to be close to anything resembling a theme park.

Side note - there's this private community by coney island with multimillion dollar condos... so secluded you can't access it unless you live there.

I like riding the Cyclone and holding on for dear life because the belt strap made of cheap fabric is coming loose.

As someone that's always wanted to go, would it be a fun little trip for me and the girl I'm seeing? Neither of us have been, nor have a real clear idea of what to expect.

the cyclone is still ranked one of the top 10 rollercoasters in the world for the fact that you don't know if you'll die when you ride it.

What's the atmosphere like in general, regardless of the rides? I'm kind of hoping she's not super into roller coasters, since I hate them, though I will pretend to enjoy them if I have to.
