Another option you might check into is the train to see how much extra cargo will cost to bring. The problem with the bus or the train is that you've gotta figure out how to get your sh1t from the station to your new digs. Speaking of which, did you find a place?

Well, not yet, though now that I found out an old friend is moving there at the same time, I'll ask him what his living plans are, maybe he'd be down for rooming. My plan was to put the stuff in storage upon arrival, I found a place that was about 50 or so bucks for a month.

Make sure that storage place is bonded and insured, and check out their security before you put anything in it. Those places get robbed/jacked/burgled all the time.

I can't think of any that would want to drive to NY. And any that would, I wouldn't really trust driving a van anymore than I would myself.

I drove a U-Haul into Brooklyn but I would be very uncomfortable with driving to Queens, Bronx or Manhattan.

Yeah, I'm not even comfortable driving out of Pittsburgh. I guess I'll see how much I can whittle my load down to. If I can sell off all this stuff, then I could just use that to ship the rest. Speaking of which, help me out in the thread about that.

Unrelated. I got probation for posting on another name while I was accidentally put on probation for almost breaking a rule when I posted a picture of Mary's friend.

Yes I was, they thought I was warned about that, but I wasn't, and they realized it's not even strictly against the rules since Ashley isn't a member here. That's why they took the probation off. They gave me semi-probation for posting on another name during that time. Mary.

No, Dew never warned me about that, especially since it's not even really a rulebreaker. Ashley isn't a member on the site. We post pictures of people all the time if they're not members on the site. The avatar/sig restriction isn't really a big deal at all, it's liberating.
