Yeah, it's happening. Ock's story can't pick up where it was left off in SM2 without Maguire and possibly Dunst returning in some capacity. It'll probably be a similar situation with Electro.

Which only requires Andrew Garfield in that instance.

Collider confirmed Emma Stone was back in December.

No other trade has confirmed Stone's involvement, whereas Molina and Foxx had coverage over multiple outlets.

I hope she is.

I personally don't think Emma Stone or Kirsten Dunst are in this. They've both been pregnant during filming. I guess they still could have went down to Atlanta and shot something quick but I doubt it considering the circumstances. We'll see.

Marvel was able to shoot around ScarJo's pregnancy on Age of Ultron thanks to stunt doubles, VFX and camera placement. Ditto for Gal Gadot when she was doing reshoots on WW -- her pregnant belly was rotoscoped out. They can certainly accommodate Dunst and Stone, especially if their screen time is minimal.

And if the actresses aren't in it now, they will certainly do reshoots late summer/early fall after they give birth.

Wouldn't surprise me if Dunst only has one scene. Like in ending montage when Tobey returns home and she's there with their kids or something. So if she's pregnant it would be easy to make it a part of it.

Dunst looked radiant in that spread she did last month. That scenario you described could be shot in one day (or two).

I don't think you should ever assume the trades will pick up on everything thats involved in the movie. the trades ain't even meant to pick up on the stuff they do pick up on. and often this stuff is filmed quietly and secretly. so i don't think its wise to assume the only things that are in the movie are what have gotten out.

I'm 99% sure Tobey Maguire will be the co-star in dr strange multiverse of madness and they will reveal it this summer during a marvel panel at the end of a trailer for example. I know they finished the filming this week but we doesn't even know who the villain will be.

I also think dr strange 2 is the best way to bring him back. Think about it : a film about the multiverse, directed by Sam Raimi and composed by Danny Elfman, just after a movie who brings back Dr octopus/alfred molina and while dc bring back Keaton ? They would be crazy to pass up this unique opportunity. I don't think that's a good idea to see Tobey returns during no way home simply because Jon Watts is not that good. But if Raimi is back for dr strange 2, with Danny Elfman and multiverse stuff ? I'm totally sure that's what will happened

Co-star is a strong word. It'll either be a small guest appearance or an after-credits scene. My bet is the latter

I hope we get everyone back, even if for small cameos.

Don't think so. There's a lot of classic comic books reuniting Spidey and dr strange. I can see this duo working together, Spidey/Tobey being a secondary protagonist helping Strange. I'm in.

I don't see why he would appear in an after credit scene. the film is the multiverse of Madness. its basically 2 and a half hour movie that can play with the multiverse. if Toby appears it would probably be in the film itself. but then with this concept, anyone could appear. if suddenly they convince Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine, then it would also be in that movie. if they did want to get Tom Cruise to be Tony Stark, then it would also be in this movie.

Marvel Studios has done post credits scene that are in the movie itself. See Dr. Strange meeting Thor in the post credits of Doctor Strange or the post credits in Ant-Man showing part of the scene where Bucky talks about the other Winter Soldiers and ends on Sam hinting at recruiting Scott. So if Tobey ends up in DS2, they may very well just drop his intro scene from the movie in the post credits. It isn't a crazy theory really and has past precedent.

"Hi, i'm peter from an alternate universe, i want to help you".

That is comicbooks though. Bringing Tobey back is a huge deal, not comparable to a comicbook crossover where characters are portrayed by illustrations. Movies have celebrity actors, and Tobey will probably be the main sellingpoint of SM: No Way Home. A brief cameo in Doctor Strange is fine, but they should absolutely save the meat of his MCU debut for the Spider-man movie. And honestly I'd much prefer a tease before the main event

I think Strange started filming only 2 or 3 weeks later than Spidey so extremely unlikely Tobey or Garfield are in that one. At best they could film some cameo during reshoots which probably will be done in Atlanta instead of London.

Where is this spread? Are there pics?

Still believe it's less likely than him just popping up in NWH along with Andrew Garfield.

There just seems no good reason to do a post-credit scene like that. i mean presumably, the ending would close off the Multiverse right? presumably. so why would he show up in a post-credit scene? that almost seems more meta-joke towards the fact that Raimi is making the movie.

it would certainly be neat if they kept the multiverse open but i find myself doubting Marvel will be that bold.
