Hey !
I loved the film and can't resist to open a new topic about that. I'll start talking about it in a second post, I believe that it may show up even with spoiler tags when you highlight the title on the previous page... Hey, it's been a long time I've posted this much on SHH, be kind with me !

So !

At the end, Tony is handed an official text to read at the press conference and...

He decides to deny IM is his bodyguard and admit that he's IM ! Causing all journalists to stand up as the credits start !

I loved that choice and it's a blow to every fanboy who had this issue with some of the previous cb adaptations, I also believe that it's a Marvel trademark and for that reason and everything it may imply, it was definitely worth it.

I'm trying not to spoil too much if some guys who don't want to know drop in anyway. Keep that in mind in your replies, for 2 more days at least ! ;)

Im a DC fan but I cant help but get fascinated and curious by Iron Man.
I will be watching it no doubt.

Bienvenue vassarkid ! Welcome, willkomen, benvenuto ! :)
You're giving me the opportunity to mention that I got into Marvel and comics through buying the Secret Wars Iron Man action figure when I was 10 years old ! I'm so glad Favreau did more than justice to this character ! :)

i didnt bother reading it (thank god). so this scene is after or during the end credits? or the last few minutes of the movie?

Saw it today (wed) in NYC in an advance showing Simply Perfect enough said!

Is there a scene after the end of the credits? With Nick Fury perhaps?

I saw it tonight, it was a sweet ride, I loved how they ended it, I wanted more, I am ready for the sequel!!

Nah this scene I'm talking about is the end of the film, not the end of the credits.
The end of the credits is a treat for fans about what to expect next, the end of the film is a bit of a shocker. :)

I can't wait much more to get into specifics spoiler ahead go away if you haven't seen the film yet :
I think it's a good thing it ends with Tony revealing to the media he's Iron Man, it makes sense in his quest for fixing what went wrong with Stark Industries and it could be a strong reason why he'd drink even more in a second film or why Rhodey should step up to prove Tony "lied".
Anyway, it's a kick ass ending !

Is there a scene after the end of the credits?

There is a scene after the credits.

Many fans will have a geekgasm on the spot when watching it. :oldrazz:

And no, I'm not putting the content of the scene in spoiler tags. You'll have to watch it. :oldrazz:

So he admits he is IM just like in the book...........erm why, then again in the sequel, the pressure of the world knowing could push him to drinking. Rhodes could take the suit, thus making people think Tony lied as he is now a drunken bum

I loved the scene. Tony was so proud of being Iron Man, and willing to discuss it, he couldn't keep it to himself :)

He starts just saying about the rumors that he was Iron Man (like in the trailer) and
the reporters say that there are no such rumors! LOL

Hi Mauser, i saw Iron Man yesterday, but didnt stay till the end of the credits, i think the movie is a little long, so i was very tired, and leave the theatre, i did not catch th scene after the credits, its there a chance you could tell me by pm so you dont spoil the rest of the forum?, or do i have to go and see the movie again?, Thanks

saw the movie in mex yesturday....love it but where the hell was nick fury and the crossover scene with :bh:.

I think it sets up the sequel nicely...
Stark revealing he is Iron Man absolutely puts him on the spot, and I'm sure the Ten Rings organization will want some kind of revenge after the events in the movie.:cwink: Also, Stark might start feeling the pressure of being an "outed" Superhero who has to run a huge company, and deal with having that responsibility, so he might start having some drinking issues.

When I could take an avatar for my profile, I am sure to choose Nick Fury.
Great f***ing scene ! (Like the movie)

Generally I'm very pleased with it though... I was pissed that it was spoiled for me, but didn't see the point in not seeing it now...[BLACKOUT]And I really like that they clearly state that they are residing in a universe filled with superhumans, AND him approaching Stark about the Avengers![/BLACKOUT]

O my god that was pure ****ing gold, I cannot wait for more of this universe to be developed and for the pieces of the puzzle to all fall into place.

Oh heavy heaven, this movie was awesome. The last line before credits was great and the scene after the credits will leave all Marvel-fans drooling.
