(Yes, I know that last picture is from the not so great Bionic Woman reboot. But since Lindsay Wagner played both roles in the original episode, and we were never shown Lisa Galloway's face before the cosmetic surgery, I needed something as the "bad guy picture".)

I'm also thinking of switching Beau Bridges and Donald Sutherland's roles, making Beau play Spencer and Donald play Franklin.

When you posted that pic of Beau Bridges next to John Houseman, I was remarking how they actually look quite similar now, so I wouldn't do that. It would be great though if he could be played by an Englishman like Houseman. Of course, if we could find another John Houseman, then a Paper Chase remake is in order!

I still prefer Chris Evans for Steve Austin. He would make a younger and fresher 6MDM who does seem like he is in peak condition.

Maybe Beau Bridges as Rudy Wells and Anthony Hopkins as Doctor Franklin then? Not only is Anthony Hopkins a great actor and an Englishman, he's also very good at playing villains (IE: Hannibal Lector).

And I've only ever seen Chris Evens in Captain America, so I'm not certain how well he'd handle playing Steve Austin's personality. Nathan Fillion on the other hand, can do so beautifully. But if Fillion's too old, how about Chris Helmsworth (I think that's his name, the guy who plays Thor in The Avengers). He played Jim Kirk's dad in the Star Trek reboot as well. He might make a good Steve Austin.

I just turned 53 young, not so old, huh, and have been suffering from erectile dysfunction for more than 8 years. Different techniques and medications did not help me or were useful just for a while and then the problem returned. Only with Brand Cialis I could obtain a perfect intercourse and reliable effect. I was enough hard and it lasted for long to never complain about. Libido and intensive climaxes were much better with Kamagra than any other medicine

I can see Kristen Bell as Jaime Sommers. But who the hell is Jay Jablonski? The picture doesn't help much, as he just looks like some male supermodel there. What has he done, acting wise, that would make him a good candidate for the *Six Billion Dollar Man (*changed to reflect inflation and current technological advances).

Never even heard of that movie. Probably why I've never heard of the star, if that's all he's known for.

He's done other stuff, but this is the only film I've seen him in.

I've never heard of him or that movie either. Kristen Bell, on the other hand, is rather short either for Jaime Sommers or even for an agent. She's only 5'1". Jaime, as played by Lindsay Wagner, was known for being tall and leggy - something which Peggy Callaghan (Oscar's secretary) often remarked on. I think Callaghan was only about 5'1" and she frequently said that she wished she could be tall like Jaime. Even if they changed that detail, 5'1" is just too pint sized for an OSI agent. Kristen Bell even looks short.

True. However, if you're a bionic OSI agent, then it doesn't really matter how tall you are. It can even come as an advantage. The bad guys will underestimate her because she's so tiny. Then they'll really be shocked when she throws them across the room with ease.

Look at Sara Michelle Gellar on Buffy. She's very petite as well, they even mention her size a few times on the show (Season One finale and Season Four premier come to mind). Yet she's able to defeat vampires, demons, and insane killer robots who are significantly larger than she is. Why? Because she's 6'2, is built like Beth Phoenix, and can bench press 360 lbs? No. Because she's Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, gifted with superhuman strength, agility, endurance, hand/eye co-ordination, etc.

I don't know what her acting ability is like. But if you want someone tall and athletic to play Jaime Sommers, how about Stacy Kiebler? She left the WWE to pursue a career as an actress, but I don't think she's been all that successful in her attempts. Likely caught in the "I don't want to hire a wrestler, they suck" trap (which by the way, is a complete falsehood, wrestlers don't suck at acting any more than anyone else). Anyway, she's 5'11", with 41.5" legs, and is very athletic (former dancer, cheerleader, currently plays soccer recreationally, and did some wrestling while in the WCW and WWE).

As much as I love Stacy, I don't think so, I'm gonna stick to my guns with Kristen as Jaime and as for Jay, yes he's an unknown, but it can work if people could give it a chance. They used an unknown for Captain America.

I don't know what her acting ability is like either, but on looks alone she's pretty good for the role. I've thought of her before but the acting thing was what made me hesitate. She certainly is very athletic, that's for sure, and has a killer bod. Jaime should be played by a very good actress though, and not one who is wooden (which would be exactly the opposite of Lindsay Wagner). Not that I'm saying Stacy is wooden, but I don't know if she is either as I've never seen her act in anything. IF they kept the tennis pro angle (which they probably shouldn't) she would certainly be the right height for a modern player as they're all generally much taller than back in the 70s. Jaime was probably quite tall for a player at the time (at 5'9").

Chris Evans wasn't exactly unknown when he starred in Captain America. He's played in quite a number of films before, including as Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four. He was probably the most well known of the potential candidates.

Actually I have seen her before in a cameo in Chuck, but that didn't really give me any idea of her acting ability.

Here she is fighting Steve Austin :hehe:

Well, I think Jay Jablonski could work as Col. Steve Austin, here's his resume:

And don't forget about Kristen Bell's stint on Heroes.

Great clip. Her speaking role was too brief to be able to tell if she could pull off a major role like Jaime Sommers, but she was always very charismatic as a wrestler/valet in the WCW & WWE. So given the opportunity, I think she may be able to pull it off, if her natural charisma can shine through in her performance. Her actual personality and background is actually very similar to Jaime's, which would be another advantage because she wouldn't have to really force herself into a role that's not her. She can just play herself and answer to the name Jaime. In the very least, she should be offered the chance to audition for the role.

BTW, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin originally rejected the idea of changing his name to Steve Austin (his real name is Steve Williams) because he didn't want people associating him with The Six Million Dollar Man. The promoter he was working for forced the name on him because there was already a very well known wrestler named Steve Williams (the late, great, "Dr Death" Steve Williams) and he didn't want there to be any confusion when fans saw the name on the card. Just a little bit of "Steve Austin Trivia" for you.

Well, he's done enough to warrant him getting an audition. But for a movie adaptation of The Six Billion Dollar Man, I think producers would want a known name with a bankable fan base to play the lead.

Jaime Sommers would be a minor character in the first movie, simply Steve's love interest and not much more than eye candy. She wouldn't become a prominent part of the plot until they do the sequel, The Bionic Woman. Because of this, I think they can risk using a less proven actress for that role. I say less proven, not less known, because Stacy is still very well known among wrestling fans, who would likely go to both movies just to see her.

He was Johnny Storm? No wonder he seemed like an unknown. Those FF movies were quite forgettable.

I watched a few interviews with her on youtube. She does seem very bubbly and charming, which is definitely a Jaime quality. Lindsay Wagner was pretty much playing herself. She always made Jaime very human and spontaneous. I'm convinced some of the lines or mannerisms were probably improvised, unless Lindsay was that good (which she could be, since she was an Emmy award winner) that she could make written material seem as if she was just thinking some of this stuff up on the spot. That's a quality that Keibler or any actress would need to bring to the role.

Stacy Keibler kind of looks a little like Maria Sharapova, who also has very long legs (and is a tennis player!) so if they did stick with the tennis pro background (or some slight homage to it since realistically it doesn't work) then Keibler definitely has the right look.

I didn't know that about Stone Cold. He could play a throwaway baddie in the movie too, just for fun. No-one major, just some thug for Steve Austin to take down, so that it would be Steve Austin vs Stone Cold Steve Austin. :awesome:
