Why do you keep on about this!???

I'm only pointing out the fact the tv series shared costumes with the movies- the Batsuit, the Catsuit and Batgirl's costume.

i did even know it ever exsisted until ust afew weeks ago....was it any good? it looks like wb killed it before anyone would really have he chance to find out.

the characters looked perfect though

I still have some of these on Digital8 that I plan on transferring to dvd for myself. Dina Meyer was the perfect Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. The best episodes are when she actually was in the suit being batgirl. The girl who played Bruce Wayne's Daughter was great. Even the Hrley was good, although she is not the Harley we see on the cartoons, but a different version that was still evil.

The problem was what they did with the story and episodes. I had heard they shot a few episodes where Barbara and Batman's Daughter were very adversarial and they went and reshot them and changed them. I feel the show would have been much better if the shows had remained with Barbara and Batman's daughter being very adveserial. It ended up becoming a lifetime superhero show instead of a hardcore Batman show. I also was on the fence of his daughter having powers. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I was like "the whole point of Batman was he was a human".

The funny thing is, when they were casting Batman and Robin, everyone on the net in the polls wanted Dina Meyer as Batgirl. When they passed on her, most of the fans were like "God they have an actress that looks like her stepped off of the page and they chose someone who doesn't". Then after seeing B&R we did a big sigh of relief that she didn't get the role.

The really cool thing was that they used Hammil for the voice of the Joker. That was a trip as they didn't tell anyone he was the voice of the live action joker. Only thing that sucked was that the actor who played the Joker's facial expressions never matched Hamil's tone.

i agree, dina was probably one of the best choices for batgirl we will ever probably get, i still wish she was a bit younger so she could play batgirl again

They aired two episodes back-to-back on the show's final night. IIRC, there was a few weeks gap between the previous episode.

I remember when this first came out. I was real excited about it, until i heard Batman was going AWOL, Catwoman was dead, they were using the Earth-2 Huntress, and so forth, so i boycotted the show and never saw a single episode...

If that clip is any indication, i didnt miss much. Giving Babs the occasional use of her legs seems like conviently lazy writing... but the red-head DID look great as Batgirl and Oracle...


I just dont get why tv and movie writers always feel the need to stray so far from the source material. Would it really have been so hard to properly adapt the comic? How cool would it have been to have Batman as a back ground character in this show?

Just seems to me like it had potential that was completely thrown out the window...

Because every producer, writer and director wants to put their own spin on the history

I watched this for free and felt cheated. Why anyone would pay for this nonsense is beyond me.

Straying from the source material isn't what made this show bad. Poor execution and an absolutely cheesy and downright silly approach to the material was.

I made a point to watch this thing every Wednesday (?) and I wouldn't even think of purchasing the set. So much missed potential there.
