Infinity War The Black Order

It still doesn't seem a very big team to take on the Avengers. I wish they had Super Giant in there. And they could've just created a new character to give the name Cull Obsidian to, leaving Black Dwarf with his original name. That would've given us 6 instead of 4.

And will they not call them the Black Order? I think that sounds cooler than the Children of Thanos.

Well I'm guessing these guys will be super OP once they are introduced. Also, their are apparently outriders in the movie along with Loki who was described by some as wreaking havoc in the D23 footage as well. Then you got Hela possibly being in one of the movies, so as far as villains go The Avengers and The Guardians definitely have their work cut out for them.

Thanks for sharing.  This will be insane. I'm looking forward to this.

Someone mentioned here that maybe they're holding back Supergiant for IW2. He'll be much stronger than the rest of the Black Order and provide ample resistance to the Avengers.

Yeah, Children of Thanos doesn't sound very menacing. OTOH, the Black Order sounds f**kin cool. Not happy with that change.

Super Giant is a she, and I don't know if she's much stronger than the rest of the Order as such, but that she has these psychic/ telepathic powers and can create mental anguish if you attack her, I think. She seems more like someone to battle Dr Strange.

I hope they didn't change "Black Order" for some politically correct reasons to avoid any racist criticisms. Can nothing have the word "black" these days without a potential outcry? It just sounds like Black Ops. They sound like a dark force. Children of Thanos sounds bland and unmemorable. The audience won't catch onto that as a team name.

The Children of Thanos does mean something in the MCU though, as both GotG movies have built that up, while the Black Order is a pretty generic bad guy group name.

I'd be fine with either, but with the Children of Thanos I don't think that's really a group name in the movie but rather just that Thanos calls them his children.

In the animated Guardians of the Galaxy TV series they gave her size-changing powers so it'd be cool to see her go up against Ant-Man/Giant-Man.

Their designs look awesome.
Given the full extent of their abilities,
I'd say that four of them would do enough damage.

I'm looking forward to this more and more; it'll be epic!

I hope they use both names. The Black Order (official name) happen to also be referred to as The Children of Thanos. Like Thor is referred to as The God of thunder.

The models look frickin' amazing. Check out Proxima!

Yep, Supergiant is a female, and she's not a giant. She's named after the supergiant type of star and she has mind control and possession powers.

Really hope we get her too.

Yep, perhaps she is Ant-Man's villain in Ant-Man/Wasp. I don't expect him to be in much of IWs.

She should be taking on Scarlet Witch and Dr Strange not Giant Man. She would have evened up the playing field too by taking control of one of the heroes to make them fight the others. The Black Order could easily have said "we have a Hulk".

Which may be why they are not using her, mind control has been used a ton in the MCU.

Getting a bit sick of an Avenger getting controlled by the bad guys in every Avengers film.

I thought mind control was what Ebony Maw does? Power of persuasion or something?

I know they'll just be stunt men or mo-cap actors, but I wish we had actual actors in the roles of the Black Order members, at least for the voices. It would be cool to bring out the Black Order as a team on stage along with Thanos.

There will be. I'll be shocked if they dom't speak.

The Mo-Cap actor seen on set grappling with Dr Strange looks very much like Irish actor Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. If so, he's a quality "actual actor".

They are lining up for a beauty contest. It's going to be a hard one to judge with so many good candidates. Thanos even dressed down to give his kids a better chance of winning.

Haven't Thanos' children already been shot with stuntmen? Corvus Glaive has for sure and I can't imagine the others being different.

As I said earlier, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor is an actor, not a stuntman.
