Has anyone read it? I just started it. Im intrigued that it takes place in 1935 and figured it might have been written for the baby boomer Superman fans as it's the Clark kent/Superman as he first was.

So the book is called, 'It's Superman'?

I have it, but haven't got around to reading it yet.

It's supposed to be good, but I'm a little puzzled and annoyed as to why some things have been changed - some characters replaced by others, for example. There's no Lois or Jimmy (I think).

It's also written in present-tense, which felt really weird to me when I read a few snippets. What benefit does writing it in present tense give? Maybe I'll get used to it.

Still, I'm quite looking forward to it, when I get around to it.

Lois is in it. Ma and pa kent. Luthor is trying to become a politician. I havent gotten very far. My computer crashed yesterday during a power failure and i spent the day reloading my programs.

Now to get out the glitches. :(

Any way It is called Its Superman and i got it at barnes and Noble.

i haven't read it.... but the book seems out there (doesn't he go to Hollywood???) Keep us updated on what you think.

I remember reading this one awhile back. Story was alright. More or less a take on Superman in the 1930s (if I remember correctly) with Superman in New York as opposed to Metropolis, and Lex a crooked Politician. Some interesting aspects were thrown in as well. Worth a read I suppose. Essentially a elseworlds type of story.

Is this it?

I like the cover. Has kind of a Fleischer-cartoons kinda feel to it.

that's not the cover i remember, but cool none-the-less.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing.
The book I read had a different cover, but the link to the cover that BatFitz provided is much cooler than the one I've seen.

This is the cover of the oversized paperback. perhaps you guys read the hardcover. I never saw the hardcover.

The book has the feeling of an E L Doctorow book..with more dialogue but his style (IMHO) Huge praise from critics on 2 full pages.
