The Boondocks Thread

He reminded me of Lil Wayne, they made the character look just like him.

Sans the tattoos, the coke-fueld "swagger" and Birdman attached to his lips....

Then you know about Weezy kissing on Birdman's lips. Its like 2 years old now lol

that's gay, considering it's a man and supposed his adoptive father.

I don't really like Lil' Wayne anyways, so you can imagine how I felt when I heard he was going to be in an episode.

"It might be time to bring 'Mr. *****es' back out"

Season 2 has been weak. While the intent of entertainment is there, it's been missing the voice of Huey Freeman. Not only is he the icon and front runner of the series, he's the social conscience that helps the more ignorant audience members recognize the satirical nature of the show. Without him, the political undertones are all but lost, leaving the jokes flat and long winded.

After a fantastic season one, this season's like going to heaven and findin' out God's smokin crack.

Whilst I disagree with you that this season has been weak i actually think its been better than the first. I do agree that its missing the voice of huey!

I do give props to the wolf ***** episode, though. That was funny. I just don't think there is enough thinking intermingled with laughing. While I realize that the genius of "the story of gangastalicous" will probably never be topped again, I'd still like some attempts at more social commentary. He had me a bit in the opening ep when they showed soul plane two, but it degraded to the exciting parts of the "let's nab oprah episode." While those parts are cool, it's like too much of a good thing.

Yeah i see what you mean, and The Boondocks were always about social commentaries back when it was just a comic strip. Well hopefully we'll get a few more episodes like that soon as if i remember right there's quite a few episodes of this season left!

Oh wait just read the synopsis for the next episode and looks like its going back to its roots a little.

Huey goes on a hunger strike in a boycott of BET, and receives some high-profile support.

It airs on monday 7th Jan 2008! I cant wait lol

This wait has been horrible. Now the Christmas episode won't premiere until February. WTF.

Wal-Mart Employee: "Least I ain't workin' at BET! Thank you Lord, Jesus!"

WOW.

Finally a new episode...and the return of Bill Cosby!:hehe: :hehe:

Could you imagine if that's how Ann Coulter really was behind closed doors?

"All I know is they better not stop this war in Iraq or I might have to start stripping".

LOL. Is anyone watching the new episode?!...

Is that Fred Willard and Cee-Lo? :p
