So I really don't see this thing making less than a billion unless Gene Hackman shows up in a toupee and wakes the ghost of Cesar Romero.

The question is how big? Can it top Avengers 1 or 2?

$800K? It's guaranteed to make that.

Sure you don't mean $800M? ;)

I don't see it as a lock to make 800 mil honestly. The trailers will have to be phenomenal.

Summer 2015 is going to be a bloodbath:

- Fantastic Four reboot
- Terminator 5
- Independence Day 2
- Pirates 5
- Batman vs Superman
- Avengers 2
- Jurassic Park 4

All the little movies will nibble at the big ones, and some of the big ones might stumble. I wouldn't be surprised if BvS does 250 in North America and 500 worldwide.

I don't see Fantastic Four, Terminator, and JP4 doing huge numbers. Those are franchises that have diminishing returns, and only the studio wants a sequel, not the general audience.

The smart move is to move Fantastic four back a year in order to not compete with the bigger hero franchises.

Most of those movies wont even be made or if they are made, may be pushed back. Do you seriously think that BvS wil make less than MOS because people would rather watch Independence Day 2? Really? :whatever:

Do these movies have script, cast, music composer ready ?

Fantastic Four Reboot
Terminator Five
Independence Day 2
Pirates 5
Jurassic park 4

800k to 1 billion. Really going out on a limb there :)

That is non-sense. BvS has 2 weeks to itself. Its not going to do less than MoS. It will make at least that much based on sheer curiousity

Fantastic four reboot Is coming In march. There Is no terminator 5.Terminator as we know it is dead.A reboot Is coming summer 2015.Add ant-man to list now.

If this movie doesn't do a billion then the film makers and marketing have dropped the ball.

Exactly. It'll have a huge opening weekend which marketing will deliver on. It's the WOM afterwards that will tell.

Of course, I didn't think IM3 or TDKR were that great, but they made a billion. So Snyder & co will really have to make a bad movie for this not to hit $1B.

I feel like all that will be left standing is Avengers 2 and Superman/Batman.

Proving my point, Disney already blinked and moved Pirates. They probably won't be the last either.

Prob bc they expect to make bank from Avengers so it makes more financial sense to put it in 2016.

A lot.

200 million opening weekend, 500 million total, if it's good.

Buzz will be deafening.
