Riddle #32

A crime has been committed.

A life has been taken.

The name, address and personal information are known by police.

However, this person shall never go to trial or jail.

Why?

Riddle #34

A man transports a fox, a duck and corn in a boat.

The boat is only capable of transpoting himself and one of the other three with each crossing.

How did he succeed in crossing them all without letting the fox eat the duck or the duck eat the corn?

He made three trips. Nothing in the riddle says anything to the contrary. :D

Duck first
Go back for Fox
Switch fox with duck
Bring duck back
Switch duck with corn
Go to Fox side and leave corn
Go back for duck
Join the fox and corn
The end

Umm he could've killed the fox, chopped it up to little pieces then feed it to the duck.
And he couldve ate the corn.....lol, nevermind I am WAY off. I guess I am not good at riddles :csad:

Am I right...?
I mean, the duck didnt eat the corn and the fox didnt eat the duck so?

Riddle #35

Ten gnomes are about to be executed. Although they don't like the idea, they are each selfless and want to do anything (even by sacrificing themselves) in order to help their fellow gnomes. They are told what will happen to them: They will each be lined up single file, so that they are each facing the gnome in front of them. Each of them will be given a red or a white hat on their head, and from the back of the line (the gnome who can see everyone else) they will ask him to state his hat color, 'red' or 'white.' If he can state it corectly (he cannot see his own hat, only those in front of him), he is allowed to live. Knowing what is going to happen to them, they are allowed to deivse a strategy beforehand. How many peolpe can they guarantee to save, and what strategy will ensure this?
(There are NOT five reds and five whites necessarily!)

Can you explain the red?

Can you explain the red?

It means the hats distibuted are not neccessarily evenly distributed.

You may get 6 reds and 4 whites, or 2 whites and 8 reds for examples.

They can save (guaranteed) 5: The first gnome sacrifices himself by saying out loud the color of the hat on the gnome in front of him. The second gnome then guesses correctly, and the third gnome follows the lead of the first. This is repeated until the 9th gnome sacrifices himself, saving the tenth.

Nope.
