The wind is blowing the fire in a single direction. If you light a fire on your other side, it will blow in the same direction as the first fire towards the end of the island. Then you can walk into the already burnt part and the original fire won't be able to get to you because the fuel is gone.

The West Street barbershop is neat and clean; its barber's hair looks as good as a movie star's.
