I just bought #2........great format!!!! Not just Batman and cameos. The GL / Supergirl was hilarious! Kara sure is sexually aggressive! Jordan's thoughts about what Ollie would do were funny! "She's 17" , he keeps reminding himself. :woot: Hopefully they will tone her down a knotch.

Very clever way for GL to find the culprit.

By the way....isn't Supergirl older than 17???? Isn't she older than Kal but got her growth ******ed in space???

do we really ned one more?
ohh well.. yes Kara is 15-16 years older then Supes, but time in stasis does not count.. and it tok her 30 years longer to get to earth...

Mehtasm. I'm waiting for the Batman/Blue Beetle team-up next issue. From the 2 pages they showed up in #2, Waid has a great handle on Jaime's character.

Yeah, his solo book is solid. Great entertainment. I mean, its nothing extraordinary, its not reinventing the wheel, but its classic old school type fun.

Plus hes hispanic.

hogwash, with all the superior written comics you rag on.

What are these "superior written" comics I rag on exactly?

And I fail how you made the correlation that I only like the book because the main character is hispanic. Making such a jump in logic is dangerous.

First, when did I ever say you only like the book because the main character is hispanic? I simply said "Plus hes hispanic", which was me adding to your statements[hence why I quoted you]. I clearly meant to say was, one of the reasons why you like the book, is because the star of the book is hispanic. Its just a clear conclusion I made, based on the fact not many hispanic characters have their own book[and you are hispanic].

If a interesting character was starring in his own well written book, then that is cool, but an interesting black character starring in his own well written book, would be much Better IMO [Since I am black]. To deny his race has nothing to do with your enjoyment at all, would be lieing to me and yourself.

Actually, if you go back and read my statements when this book was announced, you'll see that I hated the fact he was hispanic. Furthermore, if you read my thoughts on the first few issues of the book, you'll see that I disliked the fact that there were some sterotypes in place. So, clearly, you're talking out of your ass as usual and have no clue as to what you're commenting on.

If this book was about a kid named Joe, with blonde hair living in Dallas, I would like the book just the same. Is it nice to see more hispanic characters in comic books? Yup, sure is. Doesn't mean thats the reason, or one of the reasons I like the book.

keep telling yourself that.:whatever:

I don't have to, because I know its true. Do you read Blue Beetle? Do you know anything about the book? If so, you would see why my statement is correct.

Can't we just agree that you're both talking out of your asses and that it would smell a lot better around here if you both just quit talking?

Kudos to Waid and Perez for a great book that feels like a perfect blend of old school and new school super hero comics. I love the revolving roster shtick. Hope to see a lot of our favorites and underdogs get some face time.

Long live the Brave and the Bold.

Im not trying to insult you,you may not want to admit, but the characters race is a contributing factor in your enjoyment of the book. No matter how times you deny it, I won't believe it. As a minority myself, I get it man.

Thanks for telling me why I enjoy a book. And you failed to answer my question, meaning you don't, meaning that once again, you have no clue what you're talking about.

Is it that hard to believe that the characters race means nothing to me? Seriously?

1:What question?

2:Its not hard to beleive, its just not true IMO

Your opinion means nothing considering what I'm telling you is fact. Honestly, I don't have anything to gain or lose by saying "I like the new Blue Beetle because he's hispanic" so why wouldn't I just admit that? Because its not true.

And the question was, have you read the enw Blue Beetle book?

No not really, but I have read some reviews of the book. You haved ragged on books like GL, and Teen Titans before, because of Johns. Yet you enjoy the new Blue Beattle book so much, and you even want Jamie to appear in Brave & the bold. It just shocked me that you liked the book and character so much, considering how you dislike many things.

Because I don't like Green Lantern and Teen Titans. So because I don't like those two books, that must mean that I like Blue Beetle because he's hispanic? I dont know, that doesn't sound, whats the word here, logical.

For the record, I have said I enjoy most of Green Lantern but cannot stand what Johns did to Hal. As for Teen Titans, the most I've said is that it isn't as good as it was Pre-Oyl. Wait, Choir Boy or whatever his name is hispanic too, that means I love Teen Titans!

And I didn't want Jaime to show up in Brave and the Bold, he is showing up, and I'm looking forward to it as are others. See your whole argument really had no basis to begin with. I'm done with this train of thought now, you may carry on.
