The Brave & The Bold Thread

Way to go, Waid, until this issue you were the only one who hadn't written Supergirl like a stupid b****.

I loved it. I thought she was cute for once, instead of a spoiled ****e.

And Perez is sooo good. Glad to see him at work again.

Can't we just agree that you're both talking out of your asses and that it would smell a lot better around here if you both just quit talking?

Kudos to Waid and Perez for a great book that feels like a perfect blend of old school and new school super hero comics. I love the revolving roster shtick. Hope to see a lot of our favorites and underdogs get some face time.

Long live the Brave and the Bold.

Ditto....... :yay:

I agree, except I would have said "I thought she was cute for once, an unabashed ****e." I think it's cute because I know she would have been freaked out if Hal had gone along with her and had gone a step further.:D:up:

I just bought #2........great format!!!! Not just Batman and cameos. The GL / Supergirl was hilarious! Kara sure is sexually aggressive! Jordan's thoughts about what Ollie would do were funny! "She's 17" , he keeps reminding himself. :woot: Hopefully they will tone her down a knotch.

Very clever way for GL to find the culprit.

By the way....isn't Supergirl older than 17???? Isn't she older than Kal but got her growth ******ed in space???
Actually,..

I enjoyed the Wonderwoman / Powergirl team up,.. even though i thought power was smarter than this,...

The Wonder Woman/Power Girl issue reminded me of a JLU episode, only it was ironic because Wonder Woman was the uber-aggressive one in that.

Nothing against JMS, but if Mark Waid--who's like the master of all things DC short of Johns--couldn't get me interested in a book that is essentially a tour of the DC universe, I very much doubt JMS will. I dropped Brave and the Bold a couple issues ago and I haven't felt the slightest urge to try it again since.

I only ever bought the Blue Beetle/Batman issue.

I'll try it. I desperately wanted to like this book when Waid started it and was disappointed when I didn't. I hope JMS can change my mind.

I think B&B might be a little bit more interesting if one of the JLA's big seven weren't in just about every issue. Waid gave us an introductory arc with Batman, Green Lantern, and other DCU heavyweights aplenty; how about some more stories with some fringe characters. Team the Spectre up with the Question or something instead of giving us Batman appearance #5,129,390,907.

Man, does anyone other than Kelly and Ellis even remember Faith exists? :o

I don't think Ellis wrote that Classified story. And Byrne used her for an issue or two of Doom Patrol. It's his fault she disappeared.

Zauriel-Faith-Batgirl-Kyle Rayner team up hour.

Throw in Major Disaster and Aztek and I'd be all over that ****.

Hell, swap Batgirl for Huntress and make J'onn the leader and call it "Hey everybody, remember when JLA didn't blow ass?"
