The Bruce Campbell Rumor thread

Hey, I just remember reading awhile back that Del Torro said he had a role specifically in mind for Bruce Campbell, and if he where available, he would cast him in a heartbeat

I was just wondering if anyone knows what that role might be

If that has any legs to it

and if there has been any recent developments in that happening

cause I think Bruce Campbell would be perfect for this movie in like a strong supporting role, where he could play like an anti-hero or something

I am aware of the character, I only briefly remembered Del Torro saying he wanted bruce campbel in it, and I was like "wholy **** he would be perfect for Hellboy"

Ron Perlman is perfect for Hellboy. No one else. Bruce Campbell would probably be great as LJ, but for now the only LJ we'll be getting is if the third animated Hellboy movie gets made.

When GDT and Mike Mignola first met to talk about a Hellboy movie, they both had an actor in mind to play the part. They both said Ron Perlman at the same time. GDT and Mike have both stated that when Ron is done playing the role, there will be no more Hellboy movies.

Yeah, Hellboy 3 would be back to the Nazis and the end of the world stuff.

The Lobster casting was suggested by a fan on the original movie messageboard and GDT agreed. DT wanted to include LJ in Hellboy 2, but Mignola was against it. Mignola wants to finish his upcoming LJ story in the comics, before he'll let anyone else do him.

So, we might be lucky enough to see the Claw in live action in part 3, and if we're lucky -- hints of LJ in part 2, as well.
