LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Carla Gugino has joined the cast of "Righteous Kill," a crime drama reteaming Robert De Niro and Al Pacino as New York cops chasing a serial killer.

Gugino will play the female lead, a crime-scene investigator with a dark personal life who enters into a relationship with De Niro's character.

The $60 million movie goes before cameras at month's end. Jon Avnet directs. De Niro and Pacino appeared together in only one other movie, 1995's "Heat."

Gugino recently wrapped production on the indie sports drama "Our Lady of Victory" and next appears opposite Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's Universal release "American Gangster." She played Vince's agent/girlfriend Amanda in Season 3 of "Entourage."

That studio casting call that WB put out a while back announced that the role of Sal would require some nudity, n'est pas?

If this is the case, where do we think Zacky plans to insert his Gratuitous Boobie Shot™ in WATCHMEN as far as the fragrant Ms Gugino is concerned? We don't see Sal's uncovered assets on the page (except for the crude cartoon caricature in the Tijuana Bible comic-in-a-comic) - my guess is the scene as she changes clothes immediately prior to the assault by the young Comedian, which will somewhat alter the context and tone of her previous filmic flesh flashings.

As lovely as Ms G is, I don't really want to see a pair of prosthetically aged 64 year old saggy spaniel's ears up on the big old silver screen, thank you. Put me right off the popcorn, so it will!
