Harry over at Ain't it Cool made the comment that he thought that Chocolate Cake Girl was Peter's true perfect match but he can't see it due to his chasing after the "unattainable" girl and getting all wrapped up in his identity as Spiderman and the hoopla that accompanies it. A very good point that I hadn't considered before. He may be right on. She's cute and her character is adorable. She does indeed need to eat a cookie or two (or three) and put some weight on! She'd be even cuter.

Harry over at Ain't it Cool made the comment that he thought that Chocolate Cake Girl was Peter's true perfect match but he can't see it due to his chasing after the "unattainable" girl and getting all wrapped up in his identity as Spiderman and the hoopla that accompanies it. Well, Harry said that the girl for Pete was the one who bakes for him and so forth. Not to dip into the fat jokes, but the I think the girl who bakes for him is the girl for Harry

But truthfully, while Ursula would make a sweetheart of a girlfriend, as far as stories go, she's too shy to build alot on. Peter as played by Tobey is already withdrawn. Having his girl that way would create no interesting scenes. And MJ is too sullen and b*tchy. Gwen's the chick. She's fun and bouncy. Not overly sexy (in contrast to those comparing movie Gwen to early comic MJ), certainly gorgeous. And shes has many, MANY important background points which make her vital to Spider-Man's life, unlike MJ whose acting career is kind of a one trick pony. She's either doing well and Peter has to be jealous or feeling left out, or she's failing and pissed all the time. Gwen has a cop dad, an interest in science and a curious family history that could add alot of story mileage and complications to Spidey's life.

Ursula is a cute adorable girl and a cute adorable character. For a character who was never part of the comics I wish she was. She would have been awesome in the older day comics and hell even today.

I think though she'd be the perfect "Gwen" death in the movies. The innocent sweet girl whose killed for no other reason than being ''close" to Spidey.

I agree Banks is smokin'. And based on other movies and TV shows she's been in, she'd have been the perfect MJ IMO. But I don't really see Betty as a character being that great for Peter, only in that nothing has been done with her really until Spidey 3. Her torturing JJJ with the buzzer was great payback for the years of abuse, and her sexy scene with Peter should have been expanded on. It was better IMO than 90% of his scenes with MJ. Certainly hotter. I don't think there's ever been a scene where MJ acts like she desires Peter.

But like I said, Gwen IMO is the better girlfriend for Peter/Spider-Man in terms of both personality, sexiness and generating stories.

Indeed, if that happened I'd lose it and wake up in a field in kansas or something. Then I'd realize to my horror I'm only wearing tattered purple pants and there's been a massive rampage.
