I know this topic will come off as as being ungrateful, spoiled children but I know most of us received that one gift during Christmas that we ask for yet parents find a way of getting it mixed up and giving us something totally off the mark.

For me, I asked for Voltron for Christmas. Now too me, I know there was the Lion and Vehicle Voltron. I wanted the Lion one. So during the Christmas party our parents put together for the community. Santa gives me this small little box and there were pictures taken, and you could see the automatic disappointment in my face.

I open my gift and yeah it was Voltron but this one.

First, I learned there was a 3rd Voltron set, then I learned that this was the "chick" robot and I later found out there were 2 more in the set, that when it combined, formed this.

It wasn't Lion Voltron. :(

I laugh about it now but I just remember how dejected I was when I got it.

LMAO! Thats one great Christmas tree mate!

I decorated my apartment for Christmas for the first time ever! I feel like an adult now.

I've notice over the years that Christmas songs divide generally into two categories: Religious and Holiday type Santa stuff. But certain artists songs are played every year that really don't have anything to do with those subjects. George michaels "last christmas I gave you my heart" is about a failed relationship. can you name any others?

That really ****ty song I hear everywhere, about that kid who steals shoes to give to his dying mother.

All I want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey

Yeah, she wants her man home for Christmas, but it's not about Christmas. It's about wanting her man. Love the song though.

Also, this thread is probably gonna get moved.

Frosty the Snowman
- about a magical snowman who came to life because of a magicians hat.

Has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas.

Let is Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
- about winter, not really about Christmas

I thought it was part of the Christmas/ Santa miracle time of year.

This immediately comes to mind:

Frosty the Snowman lyrics

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.

O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.

Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
We'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."

Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"

For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."

Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Not one word about Christmas miracles.

Guess i was referencing the animated 70's cartoon that showed it was Christmas time snow that brought him to life.

Some song they are playing about a guy drinking beer with his high school sweet heart in a car.

I love this song, and since its for a Christmas Present and his first words are "It's almost Christmas Time...." .....I'm thinking it is in fact about Christmas.

It also deals with Jesus and the religious aspect to Christmas.

The song is from the cartoon, in the cartoon Frosty goes to help Santa Claus....so maybe the song doesn't mention Christmas, but it goes with Christmas none the less....
