Lethal Weapon has always been a guilty Christmas pleasure of mine because not only is it a Christmas movie it is a buddy movie too filled with action

For me, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is my favourite Christ,as film and always will be,

But in the past few years I've really come to enjoy Surviving Christmas, I avoided it for years but eventually after my Brother liked it gave it a go. Personally I think it's hilarious.

I know right National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation has got to be considered the funniest Christmas movie

Watched The Ref last night. I wouldn't call it a Christmas movie as it's more a movie that takes place during Christmas (like Die Hard). But definitely had some funny moments.

Why would Lethal Weapon be a guilty pleasure of yours? It's an awesome movie. You have nothing to be guilty of. Guilty pleasures are movies that most people dislike but you still find enjoyable.

The first Rocky is another Christmas classic which I forgot in my original post.

The first Rocky is another Christmas classic which I forgot in my original post.

Actually, Rocky's title match with Apollo Creed took place on New Year's Eve, so technically it's a New Year's movie (although the scene where Paulie throws Rocky and Adrian out of the house takes place at Christmas, so I guess it counts).

Another movie that a lot of people tend to watch around this time of year that doesn't even take place during Christmas is "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". That one takes place at Thanksgiving. But with the American Thanksgiving being so close to Christmas, I suppose it's understandable.

They're both great movies though.

The fight takes place on New Year's, but most of the rest of the film takes place over the holidays.

It actually takes place over three holidays. Rocky & Adrian's first date was on Thanksgiving Day. Rocky trains right through Christmas. And then the fight takes place on New Year's Eve.

Holiday season is what I meant. Basically from Thanksgiving to New Year's.

Which "Jack Frost" movie are you referring to? The Rankin Bass animated movie? The one where Michael Keaton dies and is reincarnated as a snowman? Or the one where a serial killer gets melted by toxic waste during a blizzard and his DNA merges with the snow turning him into a killer snowman?

1. Die Hard
2a2b. Home Alone (1&2)
4. A Christmas Story

Yes and as far as Christmas movies go I enjoy Lethal Weapon a whole lot but I am not sure everyone else does

The Ref definitely would be a Christmas movie even if it takes place during Christmas but Denis Leary in The Ref is so damn funny

I think they are talking about the Michael Keaton version

Everyone might not agree that Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie, but that doesn't necessarily make it "guilty pleasure" material. The movie is a pleasure to watch, any time of year.
