Was he ever in the comics? I didn't think so, but I wasn't sure.

I always liked him. I have a fondness for the simple villians like he and The Riddler.

There's just something about him. He's kind of like the Sideshow Bob of the Rogues gallery, always wanting to kill Mayor Hill. :woot:

I liked when he had the time control device and Batman and Robin were using the devices aswell to stop a bomb that was set to kill Hill, and Robin looks up at a plane and Robin says, "Faster than a speeding bullet." Just one of those funny little lines.

I like Temple's glasses, how they have the clock hands on the lenses, and his cane that looks like one of a clock's hands.

I think he was originally from the Flash's rogues gallery. Not completely sure though, but he wasn't made up for the cartoon.

The Clock King is a ****en joke. He makes me want to break furniture. But I do see the appeal in a villain with a single, relatively mundane agenda.

I think I read somewhere that he was created for TAS, but really I'm not sure.

The Riddler WAS a simple villain. Not anymore.

He couldn't have been made for TAS since he appeared in Adam West Batman episodes.

EDIT
His first appearence was World's Finest 111 in 1960.

Thanks for the info. I don't remember him in the 60's tv show though. And I've seen all of them but, it's been awhile.

I think he was only in two appearences.

All I remember from the episode is that he had Batman and/or Robin trapped in a giant hourglass with the sand pouring down on them.

I remember that episode! It was one of the first I ever saw. Didn't know it was that jerk Clock King tho.

Doesn't Batman use a sonic device to shatter the glass?

Probably. It's been so long since I've seen any of them.

"Robin, hand me the bat-sonic inducer!"
