Why so angry TMOB? Is that because of their current relationship? Because Buscema's run was another one of my favorites, and I love this Wraith story.

It just reminds me of what's happening to Marvel these days, and while I did like Civil War, and I DO like the direction it's going, making Spidey an outlaw again, striving for cash, never really trusting anyone, it pains me to think of all the good relationships Spidey earned over the years that have all crashed in one short year.

And this particular cover, released in 1976, just reminded me of all that. Even Spidey's word balloon that states "Iron Man!!! Have you gone mad? You can't... you can't...", while perhaps shocking in 1976, would seem more natural in 2007 because of the Civil War. And while the stories are good, I just can't help shaking my head in sadness.

And yes, Bill Mantlo's writing run on Marvel Team-Up is one of the best runs this book ever saw.
