I've got this crazy idea, you guys might want to try it. It's called "Let other's raise their own goddamned children and mind your own business".

Off-topic, because this isn't about what Steve did. If anyone sees a child abused, neglected, endangered, speak up! And ignore anyone who tells you it's none of your business.

if you watched the video, you'd see that's not what he was doing.

I did see the video and I still think being less than 3 feet away with a month old baby is too close, even if Steve knew what he was doing. Things can happen. I don't view this situation as an acceptable risk.

Didja know at Gatorland they let kids and adults sit on a live gator with its jaws taped shut? Babies can sit on there with their parents, too. Now, what would happen if the gator knocked them off the side where the untaped gators were?

I don't think taping the mouth shut is the answer, because the CH is trying to show the crocs as they are, which is fine with me. I'm not opposed to him bringing his family into the act, but he should have done it differently, that's all.

Gimme a freakin' break. People need to mind their own goddamned business. Let him play with his kid around large carnivorous reptiles. As long as he knows what the hell's he's doing, I say it's fine. People need to calm the hell down.

It's still infinitely better than MJ dangling his baby over that balcony thing.

It is better, but I don't want to see the kid eaten, at least as a baby. If he's eaten as a teenager, that's different.

Steve knows what he's doing. I'm willing to bet that the kid's more likely to be hit by a car while playing in the front yard than get injured doing something like that with the Croc Hunter there. :)

So you're saying that Steve is more competent to protect his kid from crocs being dangled 3 feet away from their mouths then from a normal activity as playing in the sandbox in the front yard.

Honestly? Yes. :)

Crikey! Next time he does that, he'll have a headless baby!

To me, the situation is not much different that a mechanic who hobbies on cars at home. Despite his training in safety and the care taken to ensure that a car raised does not fall down. I'd think the guy was a moron for allowing his month old baby to crawl around underneath the car.

This thread is eerie now.

maybe the title should be changed to "The Crocodile Hunter WAS a moron".

Okay, bad joke...

Maybe you shouldnt rezz threads who are more than 2 years old? :p
