That's Chris Evans, isn't it?

Like a poster said how about a period piece Crow film? Taking place in the 1930s during the gangster era. Crow taking down gangsters be awesome to see on screen.

I'm still opposed to this. Making a worthy sequel...do not remake the first one.

If they made a crow movie more based of the original mini-series, it would not resemble the Brandon Lee movie all that much. please keep that in mind. I love the first film, it's a classic. But it's also not very faithful to the much grittier, more ethereal source material.

I would love to see a Crow film where Eric carves the Crown of Thorns into his chest, and the "How many Angels can Dance on a pin" ending. If all you know is the Eric Draven Crow, the original Crow story will probably seem incredibly fresh. Hell, visually, Eric would look more like a Zombie with unhealing bullet holes, ash white flesh, and being 6'6" tall as described.

I'm very familiar with 'The Crow' beyond Brandon Lee...I'm just not generally a fan of remakes if the original leaves nothing to improve upon. While the original Crow might not be 100 percent faithful, I still see it as an absolute classic. Remaking classics usually does not turn out very well.

^ Like 'The Hitcher'. They should've left that alone. Sean Bean is good in it, but he's got nothing on Rutger Hauer.

The way I see it, the problem with the Crow sequels was that the makers may not have wanted to stray too far from the concept of the first film, but at the same time they didn't want to do rerun of Brandon Lee's take. The results were these somewhat half-hearted, confused films that were in some respects stereotypical and in others rather unfaithful.

But beyond City of Angels, can the other films actually be considered sequels? They didn't really continue the story from the previous movies, they were pretty much self-contained. Although, in terms of continuity, it wouldn't make sense for the characters in those films to look exactly like Eric Draven, since his make-up was based on something from his own life.

The more I find out about the original comics, the more I think that a new version based on them may not be such a bad idea. I think its possible to do them without stepping over Brandon Lee's grave.

I think the movie was going to be grittier, much more violent and at the same time more of a love story until Brandon's death. I think after Brandon's death they really softened the movie a bit and left a lot of things on the cutting room floor. I've always wanted to see a director's cut of the film but I don't think they're ever going to put the money into producing it.

The only notable stuff that didn't make the Final cut was Michael Barryman as the Skull Cowboy, and Funboys death. From what i've seen and heard throughout the years, there is really nothing else of note.

I'm still open minded enough to say a crow reboot could be very successful and cool.

I understand you should not remake a classic, but if its different and has a good cast and crew it could work out well.

I'm all for either a so called reboot/remake thats more inline with the comic..Though I agree BL version is a classic comic movie and really shouldn't be rehashed,but...
I like to see them use some of the other comics as a basis for another few movies....
Female Crow;always thought Jessica Beil would be great

I have always thought a black actor portraying the Crow would be a great idea.

Well it looks like the long rumored remake of "The Crow" is starting to fly. Producer Edward Pressmann has confirmed he's already offered the lead role to a "major actor". Now the big question is - Who?
Hopefully a female actress as I like them to do a crow based on the Iris character...Or wouldn't mind seeing an asian actor and have it set in Tokyo or Hong Kong and let it focus on the Yakuza(sp) or the Triads gangs...
Going back and reading that article about it being set in the southwest; take we gonna get a indian type crow if I take a wild guess? Or they may do a Mexican crow? Anywho, hopefully it will better than the last few.

There is an annual russian moviecon where the company who will distribute "The Crow" in Russia recently made an announcement that the major roles were offered to Jeremy Renner and Colin Farrell. One will portray the title role, one will star as villian.

Google can hardly translate this article correctly but anyway here it is - http://translate.google.com/transla...http://filmz.ru/pub/1/19865_1.htm&sl=ru&tl=en

or a sequel that can stand on its own

i almost forgot about this thread

too late for a sequel (to the first film, as I assume that's what you're referring to). Just reboot it (with Eric Draven of course)
